Kovalev's great defensive coverage really helped us on the first goal. The Florida broadcast broke it down pretty good and Kovalev was a big goat on the goal.

He's looking sharp out there. Good compliment to Markov on the PP.

Yes, but 3 games help a lot for the timing, it should be the opposite!

We really need Bourque on the right wing, he rushes the net way better on his back hand. Too bad Gionta isnt a lefty!

reminds me of the start of last season where we dominated the Jets in game 2 and then everything crumbled.

Bourque really impressed me, best forward this period and his line is looking dangerous.

First line was better.

The third line has been generating a scoring chance every time they were out there I think and boy does Galchenyuk look good at center - night and day.

Markov, welcome back, we missed you.

Diaz the next Streit?

I love how engaged everyone is. It looks like they're having fun out there. I think scoring on the PP was a huge boost to confidence. Good on Diaz to step into that role. I know the panthers are probably tired but that IMO is separate from the effort the Habs are giving out there. The gallys look great as well!

Last year we lost games in the 3rd period. That was where we fell apart. Hoping for signs this has been fixed.

Awesome period from Markov, Diaz, Plekanec, Bourque, Gionta and Prust. Gallagher looks like an NHLer. Emelin was pretty good too.

Which will get annoying quite fast. I can already tell Therrien is going to rely on him a whole lot. Yay.

No doubt about it!

Loves the Prust-Galchenyuk-Gallagher line

I know it's only 1 period, but if they keep going like that, it's gonna be hard for Eller to get back in.

It definitely wasn't kneeing, and tripping was the only fall-back. Guy caught his skate on Gorges' leg trying to jump around a hip check he saw coming, and fell. Brutal call. Gorges' body and knees were just fine, but and see Gorges' foot wiggle a bit and get drawn out (not stuck out by Gorges... important distinction) as buddy's leg caught him while jumping the hit.

Thing is Bourque got traded to us and showed absolutely nothing. It was pathetic to watch. That was the first impression we got of him. The reaction is a bit normal.
Ya normal if you are bias against anything Gauthier did. That kind of "normal".

They better have legs after two days off (excluding practices, of course). If they came out slow and played sloppy, Therrien would have torn the lockeroom down and probably chucked a few letters of the NO EXCUSES at a few players, during intermission.

Therrien wants to make sure that he's on the ice for all goals against this season. 2 for 2 so far.

Yet, if Bouillon fails miserably with the icetime he's given, Therrien will re-adjust. I know Therrien isn't a favorite around here and that he will take some questionable decisions...but the guy can't be a total idiot. He will not choose to play Bouillon even if it means losing.
