Leafs fan, watching the game on TSN. It's odd, I expected the Capitals to be a much stronger club than they've shown so far. Holtby certainly isn't his playoff self, but isn't to blame for the game thus far. The Jets are approaching 35 shots already. The top line has been woeful, incredibly soft by Backstrom in front of the net. Aren't he and Ovechkin -3 tonight? It's certainly disappointing to see what's happened to Ovechkin the last couple of years. Used to be one of my favourite players in the league. Simply doesn't look like he cares anymore.
So one of our better players tonight in Hendo is out for how long? Would of rather seen the guy with the C on his sweater fight there. Some give a **** from the C would be nice at some point this season.
So they are better off with Ovechkin in the box for the first 5 minutes of the 3rd period?

I told everyone that riviera would never replace semins offense. Get a clue teddy.

Johansson: Still a turnover machine. I mean, it's just mind-boggling how often he coughs up the puck. At least he's not making blind drop passes this year? And thank goodness, he's already been demoted.
I'd say he's also soft along the boards, but he's always a step behind the play--so the puck is already gone by the time he gets to the boards (which he usually does while falling down).
Meanwhile, Loltby is looking like the AHL goalie he is. I don't care how many goals you can blame on screens, deflections, or whatever. When you've given up 10 goals in five periods, something is not right with your game.
