Nearly fell asleep twice in this game. These guys need to wake up. We keep playing like this we'll be a lottery team and GMGM will still be here.

Has Al Kolken ever said anything insightful, interesting or even correct ever? Can't believe he draws a salary.

Glad there are still some on here that can articulate a thought out response about the game. This is like watching the Bears all over again from the beginning of the season. Offense is sporadic with mostly poor shot selection and minimal offensive zone presence. The only thing worse then the defense is the transition to it. Special teams are beyond help. PK is just as lost at 5v5 defense, and the PP is spent passing from point to wingers with very few chances. Worst part is none of that really changed until Oates and Callie left. Very few of the players are doing anything to help either.

Nicky gets all the credit for Hendo's goal, but whatever. You are right, OV has represented the C on his chest well tonight.

Hopefully Winnipeg will be tired in the third period since they played yesterday.

It would be nice if we got some shots on goal. 33 to 17 is not the pattern Caps want to continue with.

I never thought there would be a more boring hockey brand than Hunter Hockey. I was wrong. We were all wrong!

I remembered I have a bottle of Jamison. Might take a nip or 46 before this period is over

He does? Ovechkin got the zone and threaded a good pass to Backstrom.

Woke up at 5am for this, at least I have gamecentre now. Got to see Markov's two goals Kovalchuk score on a penalty shot and now watching Tarasenko.

Kuznetsov probably made the right decision signing until the end of the 2013-14 season with Traktor

They'll be okay going forward. I wonder how much all the Inaugaral Balls and Gala's etc. that were attended these last two days may have impacted this game.

Trying to give them an out if you can't tell.

I say we go for Luongo, this team needs a boost from somewhere and maybe he can revitalise us and we do the same for him

Hey if they were losing 1-4 but I could see some sort of direction or plan in the teams game I would not be too fussed and just wait for things to click. But this team is playing awful. People can sugar coat it and blame conditioning but even when they are conditioned it means nothing if they have no plan when on the ice.

Maybe he'll break his ipod during intermission to inspire a rally.

This is what happens with a short camp.

They stuck MoJo with Ovi and Backstrom the whole camp. For all we know he will have massive chemistry with Ribeiro, but chances are he gets dumped down to the bottom 6 instead of 2nd line.

Desperation. Two man forecheck past the goal line. Atlanta's gonna get some breakaways.

Ovechkin doesn't just float. He actually skates away from the puck frequently.

The bright spots for me have definitley been Wolski, Kundratek, and dare I say JAY BEAGLE.

I know I got alot of flak for making fun of him and saying he is a crap player, but he is definitley trying out there. He's putting forth alot of effort and I give him credit for that.
