-No one is on the same page, offensively or defensively. But more so evident defensively
-I thought it would take the team around 10 games to learn the system and get things down but I did not expect them to look this lost. They look like they have never played hockey before
-The stars need to step up big time.
Glad there are still some on here that can articulate a thought out response about the game. This is like watching the Bears all over again from the beginning of the season. Offense is sporadic with mostly poor shot selection and minimal offensive zone presence. The only thing worse then the defense is the transition to it. Special teams are beyond help. PK is just as lost at 5v5 defense, and the PP is spent passing from point to wingers with very few chances. Worst part is none of that really changed until Oates and Callie left. Very few of the players are doing anything to help either.
This is only the 2nd game of the season correct? Just wanted to make sure.
Hey if they were losing 1-4 but I could see some sort of direction or plan in the teams game I would not be too fussed and just wait for things to click. But this team is playing awful. People can sugar coat it and blame conditioning but even when they are conditioned it means nothing if they have no plan when on the ice.
