Major props to Therrien for throwing Galchenyuk out there for the end of the power play. 3 chances on that shift including his first NHL goal. By far the most impressive shift of his young career. Is this where it turns around?

Also great that his family was in town to see it.

I follow the Sting on twitter and the last 10 minutes they've been retweeting about 10 Sting players congratulating Alex. Shows you how much they like and respect him.

Great goal. And how about Prust with the perfect pass.

Love our fan base. Just yesterday some people were wanting to send Galchenyuk down.

On the job training!!

Also liked having him put with Prust. Seems to have got his legs/energy going.

We got a huge fanbase and a minority called that about Gally.

So Markov maybe a Hatrick, Galchenyuk with his first NHL GOAL, Gallagher with his first nhl point, and prust with his first habs point

And I still feel the same way, especially if he's going to be playing 3 and half minutes a period (which is what he's averaging tonight). Doesn't take away from the great moment we just witnessed.

I know. That's why I said some.

This line looks like it could be very productive once Gallagher gets over the first game jitters.

First star tonight! I would have given it to Markov personally but I loved seeing Gally's face when he got first star.

He's shown nice skill level...I'm not sold that we should keep him all year yet. Would be a tough call right now but MB has 3 more games.

I am hoping he stays.

He is now getting a few stints on the PP. And back to playing center where he should be.

Keep him here and have Therrien put absolutely zero pressure on him. He will blossom. The talent and hockey sense is there.

Therrien worked with Jordan Staal as a 3rd line center in Pittsburgh. He needs 3 hard working offensive lines. If he sees Chucky can fullfil that role on a 3rd line, he'll stay.

Based on how MT was praising him in his post-game conference I'd be surprised if he gets sent down.

I think he just keeps getting better from now on.

Absolutely. He proved it tonight by his reading of the play without the puck and coming back to help out the D. He sees the ice like a centerman. I did notice he got cleaned pretty good on a couple faceoffs though. Might be just the ones I saw I didn't check the faceoff stats.

It's funny. Beaulieu plays him wing all the time in Sarnia, Housley played him wing all the time during the WJC. Therrien tries him out at center and in his first game, he plays great and scores a goal.

He's been good in junior (when he's taken them and I've been watching), so hopefully he'll adjust.

Definitely. I'm pretty happy with the way that Therrien has handled Alex so far.
