Kari was perfect, but I was dissapointed that the Stars made him do so much work. It was a good game for the young players, especially Jordie Benn who really had a statement game showing he can stick in the NHL.

I wasn't around the thread during the game. I thought Jordie played pretty good tonight and didn't give Gully a reason to scratch him for Rome. Thoughts?

O well. Team played great for most of it tonight. At least that doesn't count as 1 for 16 for the Wings.

Was also impressed with Benn (I ended up watching most of the game, just w/o being on the comp).

Good game. Feels good to see a Stars victory where they seemed to completely control the game. also pretty impressed by Jordie Benn tonight

3 seconds away from getting 3 points for the shutout At least we got the win. Stars played unreal in the second half other than actually scoring on their chances.

Kari was 3 seconds away from shutting out the Wings in their home opener for the first time since 1937.

You've got to be joking.

I'm overall happy with the way Eakin played on the 2nd. Made a huge difference. Who knows Eakin might be more of 2nd liner then 3rd at this point.

My favorite line of the broadcast was when Razor said half the building is gone. Ralph replied "No, they don't leave early here." I laughed my ass off!

I thought Benn played well too... And the second line was obviously much better with Eakin.

But can someone explain why Larsen has the lowest ice time of the six defensemen? 15:25. Compared to robidas with his usual 22 and benn at 21, I just don't get it.

Only time I can remember Wandell being with Ryder/Whitney was after a penalty kill.

Dunno what caused him to change his mind from his morning interview (other than the obvious).

Larsen doesn't play the PK I don't believe.

There was that 3rd period PP for them when Eakin got the stupid call and people were just wondering with their backs onto the ice.. don't know about you but to me that's just sickening..

Speaking of 3s, I think the 3rd were actually quite good when the game progressed.. Maybe the older folks need some time to get going when playing together. But to me that's a line that should stay together when going closer to the post-season..
