no, if you watch the close-ups, that was clearly not blood he was spitting up. It looked more pink than red.

This is not intended to be a slight against the rock. Why should he blade himself? He has movies to be in.

Maybe he bit the inside of his mouth or his tongue...kind of amazed he'd take a bump like that leading into the PPV.

The rumble ending with the mic relay was cheesetastic...

I don't even think they're allowed to blade anymore. If there is ever blood in a match then it's accidental.

I agree the mic relay sucked. You expect a giant brawl with everyone in the ring to sell the royal rumble at some point in the go home show. But that was brutal. They should have had John Cena come out earlier in the show, and had the show end with the Rock lying in the ring "bleeding"

i thought so too...
but whatever. we would have hear comments by now about the shield screwing it. you know Vince would be pissed at them if they actually injured him less than a week before the rumble.

Yeah didn't they stop blading after Taker flew into a rage over working a bladed match with Orton Sr., who it turns out had Hepatitis C or something?

Unless you're Brock and you can throw bows from hell and they don't care.

I think pretty much everyone who watched raw thinks it should have ended with the rock spitting up blood. But if they wanted the brawl to go out on they could have had one of the beat the clock matches last and with the cheap win start the brawl.

That would give people a reason to tune into Smackdown too since they'd have to have them announce where the winner of the challenge was going to enter the rumble on that show.

The Rock probably used a capsule for the blood in his mouth.

I don't know if this is exclusive just to RAW shows but apparently if you have a ticket you can go backstage, come out onto the ramp and make it all the way into the ring and talk on the mic.

You can also come in from the crowd, walk right up to the ringside table and do commentary.

Brad Maddox is more entertaining than Cole or Lawler.

According to Bryan Alvarez, the planned World Heavyweight Championship match for WrestleMania at this moment is Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio.

Would be intersting. Dolph cashes in in the next month or so and Del Rio gets his rematch at Mania.

I'd rather have Dolph win the RR, cash in his MITB to win the WHC at WM, then win the WWE title later that night

is that too far fetched?

Nobody believes Ziggler as a WM headliner yet. He needs a bunch of big wins to get to that point. Too far fetched at this point.

3.04 rating.

Hourly Break Down: 4.37 million first hour viewers, 4.42 million second hour viewers, drop-off to 4.16 million third hour viewers.

It was the 25th week out of 27 weeks during the three-hour era where third hour viewership has declined from the second hour.

They should. Save three hours for the PPVs.
