Thanks to Price, Habs are 2-0 at ES so far this year.
Pleks line turned the game into a track meet in the 1st period against Florida's best guys. Good example of the two-way play Plekanec and Gionta can do together. Bourque's resurrection helped a ton. Now I believe he had a wrist problem the past two seasons.
Gorges-Diaz much better 2nd pairing.
Markov is a magic man.
Galchenyuk-Gallagher got used like Desharnais-Pouliot in 2011, very effective against depth.
Slot Eller and Subban back into the penalty kill they'll be a lot stronger.
A lot of people focus on how tough the 4th line is. I think its more important that they are all decent hockey players.
Nokelainen's job is gone. White has taken it.
A healthy squad is a lot better than an injury ridden wreck.
Price has been fantastic.
Don't read too much into the game though. Florida wasn't a playoff worthy team last year, are worse this year and in a tough spot.
Diaz is awesome. Markov making haters eat crow, and both gallys played good game. great thing about these types of seasons, is that we get to see our prospects play in the NHL.
All we are missing, is a Big winger and Big D (hopefully tinordi) and we could be very very competitive
Best part of the game for me aside from the Galchenyuk goal, was watching Markov thread the needle all over the ice all game. Ridiculous. He broke up plays, led breakouts, and pretty much played as well as I could have hoped to start the season.
This WAS NOT the Canadiens of Jacques Martin. Jock would have pulled the reins and went into the turtle after the 2 goal lead.
The Habs never took their foot off of the throttle.
The 2-5-10 taken by White was absolutely fantastic. He stood up for his teammate Gorges and in return, White's teammates stood up for him with a textbook perfect penalty kill.
Again, huge difference with Therrien behind the bench. Loving the aggressive style of play.
Prust is even better than I thought and I was the happiest Habs fan when we signed him.
Hard to say that is 100% the case. Yes it did seem like a completely different team. But before confirming that, we'll have to do it on a more reccurent base, against a fresh team. Still looks promising though
I would have no problem splitting up the DD line, they were invisible tonight. That 1st PP unit was lethal and the second wasn't bad but you could tell Boullion is not helping and it has no shot from the point. Subban coming back will be perfect for Kaberle.
Pleks line was on fire tonight and the D all looked pretty good. Prust was a damn machine!
The #1 underrated player by this board was Bouillon tonight.
The man hit. He pitched in at the right time. He held the zone.
He might be in a bit over his head, but damn it, he works hard as hell. Top work ethics.
I've always liked Bouillon.. He was a great bottom pairing guy. Still is. His work ethic is contagious. But I don't think he can play 23 minutes a night, he gets exposed. He was good tonight though.

Therrien can pull up Tinordi just as quickly as he pulled up Gallagher.

Florida was a good team last year, still a good team, even with their best player injured and one of their top 4 D. too.
Good game and i'm glad to see Diaz doing really well. I hope him and Markov continue the good work on the PP.
On a side note, wtf is Cole doing? This guy is so sloppy it's unreal. He's nowhere near the guy he was last year. Did he forget to train during the lock out or what? I hope he ****ing pick it up very soon or he might be the next one going healthy scratch.
Don't forget it took him about 10 games last year to really breakout. I'm not worried.
Oh, and I've said it 500 times, but I LOVE Ryan White.
White doesn't fax. Hit our player illegally, I pound your face. Straight to the point.
Prust is awesome. Don't care about his salary, he makes the team better in his own way. He is the kind of guy you can use with a kid like Galchenyuk. Some offense, create things, responsible defensively. Tonight was the perfect example.
Markov was just awesome. AWE-SOME. He was dominant in every aspect of the game.
