I'll add to the Oilers piling on - zoinks. SJ is destroying them in the 1st. Oilers defense is non-existent.

Oilers seriously need to trade for a goalie and a veteran D man.

Good god, what the hell was that?

No wonder the Oilers are sucking out, it's hard to play while your ears are still bleeding.

any truth the Lou rumours to Oilers? that could help....

but who would they give up?

Oilers picking #1 again would be scary for the West....if they can keep all those young guns.

Nah, they would have to get a GM with a half a brain and the ability to build a real team rather than a collection of 1st overall stars...not concerned until they fire Tambellini and a likely trading of Hall out of there for some real depth and a complete roster concept.

I have money on Columbus finishing ahead of the Oilers in the standings this year, since they have actually built a decent enough team over there compared to Oilers...

Didn't think so. Oilers need the contract room to keep their young guns over next 5 years, not bet the farm on Lou. Also its intradivisional trade = not going to happen.

They need a solid D man, vet depth/character player....and a Goalie (calling Bryzgalov!!!!!! )

From the main board:

Quote:
Edmonton's play: Try meth for Seth.

I find this game uncomfortable to watch - almost like you're revelling in watching a train wreck. So much talent on that team due to the number 1 picks, but suspect goaltending, and next to no defense.

I agree. They actually look... quite good this year. Cam Atkinson can skate like a mofo.

I'm not sure Dubnyk is the answer between the pipes, to be honest. He's streaky as hell, and seems prone to letting in softies.
