Yet media and fans were saying how good both teams are and edmonton was just a little better.

What was a little concerning was henrik thinking the team played good.
We were a lot more tighter defensively and our effort was a ton better. We still only have one line, and everyone else are role players at best.

Ward going nuts on the Oilers penalty kill. Pretty good line about Couture and tickets.

Agreed but we could not win in regulation and we should have.

By all rights i truly believe we are still the better team and should beat the oilers if we play good every game this year. We did not play good sunday imo, giving a full effort.

Really what the Oilers looked like that period was a bunch of kids. You see it all the time in junior hockey and even the best junior hockey in the world (world juniors). When kids lose it they can really really really lose it and the opposition can pile up golas in short order. There is some learning to be done.

Of course some of the problems are the vets....

Dont really agree our effort was a ton better....I thought we still looked rusty and lazy at times.

If we did infact play as good as your saying against the oilers, I may be concerned. But i really felt a full effort from the canucks wins that game easily in regulation.

This is why I'm not that concerned at this point; despite an uneven performance - at best - we almost won the game vs a team that didn't have any problems with "rust" with a majority of their players.

Tonight has sure been great for us, in terms for teams that could be interested in Luongo.

That's fairly accurate. But Hall and Eberle should be used to this now

Exactly what im trying to say.

I am not saying we are bad and we should panic, not at all, what I am saying is if we played with a better effort, we would have had no problem finishing that game in regulation. We did not play a great game, and the oilers beat us. If we play a full 60 minutes, and dont look rusty, that game is ours in regulation. Even down kesler and booth.

Not dissing you but the team with no rust is getting nuked, and there's no moral victories for us in a 48 game season. I hope the Vancouver forwards who are being paid to score are watching this game.

6 goals in one period?!! For those who actually watched the game, was Dubynk that terrible or was it him + D?

Yeah, he looks awful, and the entire team collectively sucked.

I would support this but not right now, 2 games in, if sometime next week this is still happening, and our effort still is poor, then i will agree with your statement. Even in a shortened season i think its taking some teams a few games to get into the rhythm.

Good. No sense in making things worse on Dubnyk, the game is already lost.
