Hawks 3, Blues 2

Great win, shouldn't have given up those two goals at the end though.

Crawford gave me a stroke multiple times.

A nailbiter, but a good game.

The Blues made it close after they woke up.

Lots of love for Saad.

I'm over Bollig. When he gets the puck, it's either a decent wrister or a turnover.

Not sure what Shaw does well, if anything.

Amen to that brother. Nothing but good things to say after this one. It does confuse me why they kept playing Oduya when it got close at the end.

*tips hat* good game and win to you guys. Hopefully next time my boys can give a good 60 instead of 20. Your guys played well, and see you more this season and hopefully in the playoffs.

Huge win. Home opener and against our top divisional rival.

We kept giving the Blues the wing all game. That was scary.

Great game overall from Crawford. His rebound control and positioning was solid. And he made some big saves, especially at the end. Hopefully he can keep it up.

He does make me nervous sometimes though, especially when he's playing the puck.

Best start since 1972-1973 season? The Hawks went to the SCF that season, to lose to the 70s dynasty Habs in 6 games.

I'm sure Scotty still remembers it pretty well.

Just some hockey history. Not a prediction for this season.

Crawford got lucky that a lot of pucks hit him in "oh @%#%" panic situations, but he didn't make any mistakes either. That's all you can ask of him.

How come you never post in the Hawks thread on NSBB?

One person I'm impressed with: Saad. He has a bright future ahead of him. When he scores his first goal it's all gonna take off from there.

People who can leave: Shaw or Bickell. IDK what happened to Shaw, turned the puck over constantly. Bickell is returning back to how he was last season. Useless.

I got banned from Other Sports for trolling on the night LeBron Jame signed with Miami.

Crow was rock solid tonight, can't blame him for either goal. We're probably destined to never get another shutout because there is at least one bonehead play by the skaters that he can't save.

Saad has such a high hockey IQ. Kid knows where to be and where the puck needs to go. He's going to pick up a fine assist or a goal within the next couple games. He's starting to really get it.

Nice to watch a Hawks team that doesn't have to dress any worthless wastes of space just as liable to do damage as good.

Another note. Crow played awesome. I really hope he keeps playing like this. If he can continue to play well and our offense can continue to click, we're set. And if Oduya and Hjalmarsson keep playing good defense.

That was my thought. Trolling the basketball threads is an NSBB tradition. But oh well.
