Yeah and this was like a month ago. I essentially got chewed out for just insinuating that he may be available.

Backstrom just gave up a bryz esque goal late in the third to let Nashville go up by 1.

Wow, 6-1 after just the first. Ouch! Way to defecate all over your home opener.

San Jose doubled our season goal total in one period.

Kings look like they're feeling the Cup hangover a bit. Duchene just got hit in the face with a Doughty slap shot. 3-1 Avs with half a period to go.

Richards looks like a shell of his former shelf. I really have no clue what happened to him. He use to be a great player. Homer got rid of him just in time.

Yep, if he continues playing like this, I won't feel so bad about trading him away

Richards typically starts like that...takes him a while. He never really commits to the offseason and this one was obviously long and not the norm b/c of the cup victory and all the debauchery that comes with it...

Homer should definitely inquire. We need a young winger with potential.
I second that. I think he just couldn't do anything on their fourth line or wherever he was used, but that doesn't mean he can't be a threat if used in a non-grinding role.

not sure what the Isles would be looking for or if the Isles would even trade him in the division.

He looked fine in the playoffs last year.

Richards was a beast through the first half last year, he was basically LA's team along with Quick. Hell, LA fans were talking about trading Brown and making Richards captain for a while...until Richards got a concussion. He hasn't been the same since.

Edit: All I know is this team has been crap defensively since they were traded and it's been a big weakness.

It's not NHL talk, but former NHLer Artyukhin went insane on a player, beat him senseless, and got suspended.

I was always interested in him because he skates like a Lambourghini and hits like a Mac truck. So much for that.

In related news, Tom Sestito is bound to play tomorrow against the Rangers. Over/Under 25 minutes before he does something stupid.

I'm going with over. It's his first game back so he might want to cement a roster spot for himself, but I don't know that he can resist for a whole game. I'd expect 7-9 PIM

Nash is a beast, and NY basically gave up nothing for him.
