Ted is too busy to evaluate his two failed general managers. He's too busy over at Groupon making sure that anything associated with guns is taken down.

GMGM spent yesterday at the inauguration so uhhhh, they sound in sync.
If we tank, no better year to do it. Only 46 games to suffer instead of 80. Plus the cup is mega tainted since it's a short season.
Shed all fat, come into next season with MacKinnon, Forsberg, Smid. Deal Green to Minnesota for Setoguchi, their 1st and one of their defensemen. Laich and our grinders for Kulemin and McClemment. Johansson + for O'Reilly. Get Tallinder or Volchenkov on the cheap and sign Lydman

Alzner Carlson
Lydman Volchenkov/Tallinder
Smid Orlov
7th D who is an ok PMD like Diaz
Holtby
Neuvirth
It would totally work.
How would we get MacKinnon though?
And I totally disagree with getting O'Reilly. And Corey Perry will be resigned. Kundratek looks to be a future defenseman possibly paired up with Orlov if they put a veteran D aside Green. Which they should.
They've tried Mojo, Hendy and Wolski already and it's only the 2nd game
Hendricks and Wolski each had like 3 or 4 shifts. That hardly counts. Give Wolski a full game on that line and see what happens. He looked sharp tonight, and the first line looked better than they did all game during the shifts he took with them.

That's the point of tanking is it not? Get the highest pick out there?
I can see Perry testing the market at least. O'Reilly makes sense on too many levels. We need a Richards/Kesler/Bergeron/Zajac/Pavelski type C and he's the closest realistically available.

I have to agree on your Poti assessment. It's short of a miracle that he's come back and played the way that he has. Whereas, I've been a believer in Mike Green, however after the first few minutes of last nights game I stopped believing. He is the tin man out their. He has no heart, he might have the talent/skills, but he does his best to avoid the physical side of the game. If there was a way we could move him and Perreault to Montreal for Subban I'd do it in a nano second. I'm sure it would take more than Green and Perreault though to get Subban.

Can't really fault Green for shying away from contact. When he takes a clean hit, he tends to miss the next 30 games.
