Apparently but i could use confirmation on this, last I heard av said he had two numbr 1's to the media and wouldnt say again, then all of a sudden everyone was reporting schneider was starting, but no idea where the info came from, maybe someone can clarify.

If they play him center he will not play with garbage linemates, because all our garbage is at center. Even Volpatti and Weise have been playing well. He will probably not be playing with Manny.

Yes, it was confirmed yesterday.

Both these teams still in search of their first win; hope we can add to Calgary's misery while bumping our own slump tonight.

Daniel Sedin has averaged a point a game against Calgary over his career, and Mason Raymond usually shows up to play against his hometown team. I'm thinking big games from both of them tonight.

Also hoping Schroeder has a good first game!

If our defence can't handle this forward group tonight I'm going to mash the panic button. They've switched their lines to:
Camalleri/Backlund/Iginla
Glencross/Tanguay/other non factor winger whose name I can't remember
Svensation on the third line

Just terrible.

All depends on how hard the Canucks work. I think their effort against Edmonton was vastly improved, but they were gassed by the end. With a couple days' rest and the itch to get their first win getting more profound, I feel pretty good about our chances.

I hope so, it can't possibly take this long to get timing back, can it?

This is a very winnable game, but we need to play much better team defense. Calgary is also the perfect opponent to insert Schroeder into the lineup; thier defense is big and slow.

I'll be there too. Upper bowl is better, and I can't afford lower bowl anyway.

I can see him crossing paths with one of Jackman (their resident goon) or Butler (who loves to use his stick on the Twins).

This could actually be a bit of a rough one. Weise and Volpatti may have some work to do.

And they have no centres to worry about him matching up against.

3-1 Canucks win.
D. Sedin, Raymond, and Garrison score.
Schroeder plays great with Raymond.
Ebbett cries in the press box.

I thought Higgins was the go-to centre option in a pinch since he's played there previously? Has Burrows ever even played centre?
