Titus Young becoming a lockeroom/playing field cancer for Lions

http://www.freep.com/article/2012112...oung-suspended

Wow ,, I gotta imagine the Lions start looking to rid themselves of him in offseason

- Sucker punched teammate at OTA's
- Intentionally lining up in wrong place of field
- Fighting with his coaches
- Complaining about amount of targets he gets

No idea how he's still on the team, oh wait, Schwartz tolerates his guys being undisciplined.

Sabotages the offense two weeks ago and is back practicing with the team. Lions NEED to make a statement right now. Raiola was right by saying they should move on because, frankly, we don't need him

Yeah if I was running Lions he would have been suspended rest of year then cut in offseason ( I believe offseason cut would be more cost effective)

No real reason to keep him around especially given how his teammates feel about him

Me too, way better players have been cut because of this kind of BS...

You guys have to understand that Schwartz is barely in control of his own professional conduct, never mind the conduct a team of 60 guys who all have their own baggage, in some cases serious issues.

See, I don't think Suh is a "problem child" per se, I think if his first pro head coach had been a no nonsense guy with an eye for discipline and mentoring young players he would have never become the sideshow he is today.

Now Titus Young is just a nutcase, but the thing is that the Lions under Schwartz have perpetuated a problem by allowing Young to poison the team atmosphere for so long and even now there are some people who suspect Schwartz may keep him around.

Rod Marinelli would have been perfect guy to coach Suh and help him develop at DT

I understand he was not gonna keep his job at 0-16 year but he is very good coach and has been praised by every young DT who has played for him here in Chicago for his teaching. Not to mention vets like Peppers/Idonije who speak very highly of him as well as many former NFL players (Sapp , etc)

Fairly highly touted WR drafted out of Boise State in 2011. Not an obscure player by any means. The guy's an idiot though. I hope the Lions cut his ass and never draft another player from Boise State aka University for meatheads. Although, I would take Doug Martin on my team.
