These lines make a ton more sense than what was going on before. I can't imagine Jordan Staal thinking he made a great choice to leave a perennial contender to play with Jiri Tlusty and Patrick Dwyer.

J. Staal has shown no playmaking ability whatsoever in his 2 games here.

Putting him with our one good shooter is a horrible waste of talent, unless we want Semin setting up J. Staal, of which I am alone in being fine with.

That's what's so crazy about the way Semin has been playing... if he is introducing a playmaking side to his game, it TOTALLY changes the way we can use him in this lineup.

Don't want to put the cart ahead of the horse here... let's score some goals the conventional way and go from there. But the idea of Semin developing playmaking skills is pretty enticing.

I don't think Boychuk was really that bad in one game to not get another opportunity. I realize winning now is important but it seems like they didn't give him that much of a chance this year.

Gotta wonder what's going through his head at this point. As much pressure as he faced to make the team, he finally accomplished that goal and then gets scratched in favor of a guy who plays 3 minutes and does nothing.

As little as he's done to earn the job, in fairness Boychuk hasn't necessarily "wasted" that many chances. Once a year he'll get top line minutes and do OK with them, then get benched the next game.

Give him, I dunno, at least 3 games in one spot just to actually get a good look at him, you know?

Tlusty might be the guy who can actually pick up the trash after Semin fires a bomb.

Didn't see this anywhere else but after being speculated Battaglia and his brother will be competing on amazing race.

Once again the HF is smarter than both the coaching staff and management.

Fact: nobody here would have put J.Staal on a line with Tlusty and Dwyer
Fact: nobody here would have signed Joe Corvo.

I think these two things are enough for Peter Karmanos to fire everyone and replace them with HF members.

I call goalie coach.

I call 1st line center. It'd just be sweet.

I call Tripp Tracy. Then I can just get drunk before every broadcast and no one would know the difference.

Nobody would notice the difference until mid-way through the season. Make sure you bang your stick against the glass and hang back 50 feet behind the play while whining to the ref, though.

I'll be PP coach.

I'll just have all 4 guys crash the net, and have Corvo hang back.

At the STH cookout Q&A, Gleason unironically declared that his post game ritual is to have a glass of wine and fall asleep.

One glass? Sure buddy... He's in the wrong here for being an alcoholic, but at least he isn't going about it quietly.

Maybe he was referring to a "glass" as the glass bottle that the wine is in. In other words, he consumes a glass bottle's worth every night to fall asleep.
