Looks like I can't make it tomorrow...I have a pair available in 221, Row 1 on the aisle closer to center. Very nice gallery seats. $125/ticket (face).

All right, if possible, I could use a favor from the the NYR community. My girlfriend's brother is trying to take his girlfriend to their first Rangers game sometime around Valentine's day. I know they play the Islanders ON valentines day, but I'm not expecting those tickets to be available. It looks like they also play the Lightning the 7th, the Capitals the 17th, the Habs on the 19th and the Jets the 26th (or any other home game next month that I forgot about it). If I can get ANY pair in the Garden, doesn't matter what section, for around $110-130 for the pair, to any of those games, it will be a big deal for him. Not picky about which game or where the seats are.
I'm looking for four tickets to the 2/17 game against Washington. Is anything available under $150/ticket?
It seems like that is the Hot game this year . The Rangers usually schedule a November,February and March Weekend day game and a 6pm game on a holiday weekend at home. This year they don,t have those day games scheduled making the Capitals game on the 17th a very tough ticket(3/24 against Caps might be moved to the afternoon) because a lot of people like to bring their kids to a game.
I know MSG requests this but I don,t like it as I think they should have 3-4 day games. Not 10 like the Islanders though!
Looking for 2 to either the 2/17 game vs Washington or the 2/19 game vs the Habs. Don't really wanna spend more than $120 for the pair, but let me know what y'all got. Thanks.

227 row 17/18 are $50 face each at the season ticket holder price. So that pair at face plus fees should be $104
Just saw a pair on TicketsNow in section 117 which is center ice for $65. Called my friend to see if he wanted to go, and boom they were gone. Who ever got those got a great deal, because someone must have listed it wrong.

First rule of internet deals is buy first and ask questions later. lol
Yeah, I'm pretty pissed at myself, but not as much as the seller must be.
That's all on the seller then. When you post your tickets up it tallies up the proceeds going to you. Either that or someone had an emergency and wanted to dump them quick.
I have a general question for season ticket holders here. If you absolutely can't get to a game and you're trying to dump tickets for face value. If it gets close to game time and you have no buyers, do you just eat it, or sell them to someone for way below face value so you at least get something?
It seems there are always tons of people not available to go to games, but its hard to imagine you can always sell them for either a profit, or at least face.

In a typical year you have a dozen games or more where you lose money, sometimes a lot. The primo games usually offset those losses, so it's a question of how many primo games you want to see knowing that they could cost you money. This year things seem different so far. All games going for a premium. But there should be some deals later in late feb or march
I will never eat a ticket if I can't go, if I have to I will take a person's best offer even if it's 20 bucks

If I'm stuck with tickets and it's game day I start lowering the price each hour until they go. Usually I have them sold by early afternoon for close to face, but I have sold pairs at significant discount to posters here on occasion. I have also given pairs away to co-workers.

if there's such a thing as a short list for this kind of situation, I am likely to be interested 99% of the time as well. Nev can have priority since he brought it up first of course, but if he can't go, I bet I can. It's really hard to get to more than one or two games a year at full price, but I always keep an eye on the listings to see if I can catch a gameday deal or two.

Reality doesn't usually work the way you're envisioning. Either everyone wants to go to a game and will pay face, or nobody wants to go and you can't even give away a ticket. So if there's a situation where someone would want to unload a ticket for $25, there's probably ten other guys next to him needing to do the same thing and you don't need to be on any special list for that. And most likely, YOU won't even want to go to that game which is why people need to unload in the first place.

It happens more often than you might think
The thing is, I will go to every single home game on the schedule for $25/50pair unless I have something like a family birthday or something to attend. I'll go see any of the 29 other teams, M-S, noon-8pm, etc. I just don't check this thread every day because I didn't realize that situation arises often.
Will go to any game for $25/30 face per against any team mon-friday. Weekends may be a bit harder but, would make every effort.
I actually prefer seeing some of the non-premium teams (devs, flyers, isles, pens, caps) etc because get to watch some under-the-radar guys (ie - Kane on Winnipeg, Staals in Carolina, Vanek in Buffalo)
once I found someone on CL at 11am on upper-east side giving away tickets to flyers-rangers game in philly. drove from NJ to pick up tickets then back down to Philly & missed first 5 minutes. t was second year after lockout. Rangers won in like 8th round of shootout w/Marcel Hossa scoring I believe. wow.
