He certainly left his feet. Good thing no injury came of the hit.

If you manage to pause it around 30 seconds, right before Schenn makes contact, you can see that he leaves his feet early. Also looks like he might have made contact with Volchenkov's head. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a game or two. Or three since he's in the O&B.
He left his feet prior from the video but maybe its just me...still think its not some egregious catapult intent to injure situation...mostly a charge and follow through. The head contact seems incidental. I have seen way worse like what Neal did...that one was clear as day yet no suspension. Shanahan is a joke discipline czar anyway. Totally arbitrary decisions. Didnt the new cba call out for an independent person that could challenge Shanahan's absolutist decisions?
What I see is that Brayden Schenn's upward launch that resulted in contact to the head of Devils defenceman Anton Volchenkov was beyond a questionable hit and should land the Flyers player a one-game suspension based on recent Player Safety Decisions demonstrated thus far by Brendan Shanahan.
Kerry Fraser has always been a little helmetless weasel ref ..I don't put much stock in what he has to say and yes it's a bias against him. Never liked the dude with his great gazoo hairdo....
IMO at most a fine... in the playoffs last year there were maybe 10 hits that were not even brought to disciplinary panels worse than this. The point of impact does not seem to be the head either, shoulder then rides.
He'll prob get a game though.
No hit league (unless you are James Neal... then it is the charging/interference/headshot league.) If that only got one game this one is nothing.
Well obviously he shouldn't say that EXACT thing haha. It would go something like this.

If Volchenkov hit Schenn like that you guys would have been asking for jail time for Volchenkov Take off the Flyers colored glasses and watch the replay again.
