given his stats/age/contract he isn't a bad 2C
the only person out on the market that is a better option is ROR and chances of us getting him is slim

If we could trade Whitney and Hemsky and picks/prospects to get the big second line centre we need I would move Sam to the right wing where he looked his best.

Would depend on how good Anisimov's defensive game is. I have not seen enough of him to pass judgment.

Avs don't do business that way, look at Drury, Ozolinsh, Deadmarsh etc. It's only a matter of time before he's traded, but it has nothing to do with the amount the Avs are willing to spend overall.

Was he not your #1C last year?

Hard to call his demands unreasonable if that is the case.
