It's awful =/

Good movie. Haven't watched it in forever though.

I have bigger knives than those though, including the one I wear in the sheath on my belt. Well minus when I'm at work.

In all seriousness though, my knives are designed to do two things:

1) Look good on a display stand (what most of mine are). Though they are still sharp, they are designed for looks not functionality. All my swords however are blunted.
2) The ones that are designed for functionality are there to protect the ones I love. I'm yet to have to use any for that purpose yet. Though I've come close to needing to a time or two.

Also my son has been taught since he was little that all my pieces are to be looked at and never touched.

+1000. I know some people, although I'm 18, that have watched their children mess around with dangerous items like a knife or sword and not teach them that they aren't to be played with...

I hear you man. Teaching kids to respect the things that can hurt them can goes a lot farther then just hiding it etc.

I grew up in a house with multiple hunting rifles kept in it. One of the first things my dad did once I was old enough to understand what he was telling me was to take me in, show me where they were, what they were and explain what they could do. Then he proceeded to tell me now you know where there are, know they are locked up and have no reason to go looking for them or anything else.

It was a very simple yet effective lesson.

Same here. Knowing and seeing, it goes much further than never knowing, and then "discovering" it and then possible damage to all parties involved.

Having met your kid before MM (although that was a couple years ago), I know that he's a well-adjusted dude and he wouldn't mess with that stuff. That's good parenting right there, just knowing he wouldn't.

The electric and internet bills were both due. My roommates deny having any money whatsoever. I see posted on facebook they went out to eat tonight. Trying not to break something.

Let them go overdue. Once you get suckered, it will never end, and may end friendships.

Been there. We had one roommate responsible for the phone. There is a reason I had 5 different phone numbers in a year....

-11 this morning. One kid home with a slight fever. Car won't start. Why can't we just hibernate in the winter?

You would then miss all your kids birthdays and Christmas. (You guys must go broke having all four of those events less than 20 days apart!)

12 days. All my kids are born during the 12 days of Christmas. I don't know how it happened, but yeah...I don't look forward to the amount of money we spend in December, LOL. Even if we limit gifts, it still adds up quite fast.

The girl I'm dating still hasn't let out her crazy side.
Normally they go into full insane mode sooner.

Ugh... picture isn't working. Can't figure out why.

The pilot of Burn notice was on USA this morning... felt good to rewatch the start.

Makes me look back and remember just how much I hated Fiona's accent.
