I've been a Steph Curry fan ever since he came into the league but he's slowly creeping into my top five now. I love watching him play.

You're talking to the guy who still thinks Rose is the best player in the league and LeBron and the Heat only won a title because Rose got injured.

Actually, tbh, the only reason they won is cause the Pacers stopped playing their own style of basketball, which was physically abuse and man handle the Heat inside with David West and Roy Hibbert. Doing that put them up 2-1 and gave them a half time lead in game 4. Then for some reason, the stopped doing it.

The Lakers needed to talk. So they did. Loudly.

They held a clear-the-air team meeting before Wednesday morning's shoot-around, with Kobe Bryant very directly asking Dwight Howard if he disliked playing with the long-time Lakers star.

"Guys went at each other a little bit," said a person who witnessed the meeting.
Quote:
Bryant also spoke up, acknowledging he could be "hard to play with" and asking Howard if that bothered him.

Howard's answer was unclear, though he did not engage Bryant in nearly as vocal a manner as Bryant engaged him.

"He didn't go back at Kobe," said the person who witnessed the meeting.

Then there's D'Antoni taking a shot at both Kobe and Howard:

Quote:
Lakers' Mike D'Antoni on what he wants on offense: "You don't go one-on-five...and you don't mope around because you didn't get the ball."
Dwight Howard right in the middle of another circus just like he was last season in Orlando.

Howard has been taken out of the game. According to Woj he asked D'Antoni to take him out cause he was having issues with his shoulder:

Dwight Howard asked D'Antoni to take him out of the game, pointing to his right shoulder. Lakers down, 54-45. Howard: 0-for-4, two boards

Howard has left for the locker room, where it's possible he has another issue with labrum injury that kept him out a week.

He needs to be traded. Guy has done absolutely nothing all season to make me want the Lakers to sign him to a max deal. There's good potential to cash in. But on the other hand, letting him walk and shooting for a 2014 free agent may be a better idea.

Gonna be interesting to see if they can get anything for him. I mean a back issue he may not be recovered from and will he ever be the same, the shoulder injury coming back, and a potential FA. Like ESPN said this morning they'd have to give the potential team a chance to talk to him before they traded him unless the other side wants to risk it and roll the dice.

Getting nothing might be better for the Lakers depending on what's offered, but I would be interested in taking a guy who's contract runs out for summer 2014 and picks. The way he's played, we probably could have Phil Jackson as coach and still have a losing record. I don't know what he's worth.

Yeah, he definitely has probably not helped his trade value at all and I can't imagine him getting the same kind of contract had he just sat happy in Orlando instead.

Howard pulling the whole Orlando mess again.

I'm assuming they'd keep Pau if Howard ended up leaving?

Pau's a free agent in 2014 and will leave one way or the other anyway.

I don't think Pau would complain if he was out now and unless things change, I'm not sure why he'd stick around as a FA.

Can't wait until the national media finally accepts that the Lakers are irrelevant and the Clippers rule Los Angeles

Why would the national media care more when the people here don't? The amount of Laker coverage here in LA beats the amount of Clippers coverage by an extremely large amount and it always will.

The Clippers here will always be like the Mets are in New York. The second team. Nothing they do is ever going to change it. If anything, I think it's good that the Clippers are ran correctly now. Instead of being subjected to one good LA basketball team, once the Lakers re-tool you'll probably have to deal with two. That will be a source of local pride, but when people can't watch a TNT late night game without an LA team being in it we'll see how you feel. Hell, the Lakers could be garbage and there would still be a lot of Laker games on national TV.

I don't have a problem with the Clippers being good, most Laker fans probably feel the same way.

Who would they target in 2014? I don't see you as being one of the delusional people who think LeBron is a realistic possibility and Wade wouldn't leave Miami either. Even though they're really good friends, I can't see Carmelo leaving the Knicks to join a 36 year old Kobe in LA. Bosh is possible but we already know you can't build a team around him.

Howard has been a complete disaster with the Lakers and it doesn't sound like he really wants to re-sign there but he might be the best option going forward. A guy like Carmelo or even LeBron would probably be more willing to sign with the Lakers if they had Howard.

I think any team that has the cap space will still offer him the max. They might regret it later but they would still do it and just hope his struggles this season are because of the back injury or because of Kobe/D'Antoni.
