They didn't work for Atlanta.

I've looked at a few pics on Twitter and the feed. And it looks very empty.

OMG! That one looks even worst! It looks like there isn't more then 1000 people in the arena!

UH, weren't the Flames originally in Atlanta, aqib, what does that have to do w/ the Coyotes?

That second one looks like it's taken a minute and half into the game, and knowing the traffic and distances there, there's probably a fair number of people still settling in, but I don't see how any owner, no matter how well he's financially backed, can make this work with those kinds of crowds.

If the reported attendance tonight is anything more than 5,000 we will know that they are cookin the books! Shout out to GJ`s supposed investors, taker a long look at the empty seats tonight and then calculate how little good $308MM over 20 years is going to help you. Lets see 5000 a night at $36 ATP might fund an AHL team but certainly not an NHL team. GJ`s absence at the opener and now this, turn out the lights Glendale, it will save you more money than you know!

when was the last time you saw an AHL game, mesa, considering it's our state that's housing your prospects

Sorry to offend, I assume by your comment your attendance figures are far more robust than the parent club?

Nah Gramps gets in for free by waltzing in acting like he owns the place. His years of practice pretending he'll own a team paid off.

Watching the Columbus feed, aside from the first five rows in the lower bowl the place is empty. CBJ up 1-0.

But then again we all know crowds for the Coyotes don't pick up until January!

PS Looks like the NHL has ordered camera crews not to pano the arena, the camera is mysteriously aimed at the ceiling lights on the breaks in the play. It's obviously a Coyotes feed, they didn't even show the crowd when the Coyotes scored and it was quiet.

Whoever the chick instragramming the pictures is, I like her style. If she keeps this up, she'll soon have more fans than the Coyotes.

ugh well if you read everything in the context of the thread you would see it. The Coyotes conversation spilled over into a discussion about the merits of Seattle as a market and the success of minor hockey came up and I was saying that minor hockey success or failure does not foretell the success or failure of major league hockey evidenced by the success of minor hockey in markets where the NHL failed and the failure of minor hockey in markets where the NHL succeeded. got it?

depends on the arena config, as well..... if there's a loge or a balcony section, highly unlikely those fans are being shown on the wide camera angles, from what I've seen on FSAZ, it's not as empty as it might be shown on FS Ohio....

If they show the whole end of an arena and no one is sitting there it's empty, pretty tough to sugar coat that.

Well I'm 2 for 2 now.....

What shall I parlay my next call with??? Be nice if Powerball was a predictable as this board. Think of all those $4 tickets I could buy??????

Oh.... BTW.... for all the Jamison stalkers in the crowd. You can stop worrying/drooling/salivating or whatever generates endorphins for you..... he is in the building tonight.

Anthony LeBlanc was in attendance for the Blackhawks game Sunday.

The attendance thing is really trite at this point. (I say this as a person who has regurgitated my own points approximately 1400 of my 1470 posts)

Anyway, I'm also a person with rather easy access to Reno, NV; and I have this:

Phoenix Coyotes -1½ +185* vs Columbus Blue Jackets

I hope the Coyotes grab a PP goal here at start of 3rd and then back that up with a EN. I should have paid closer attention to Killie's acronyms, but IDGAGGD how many people are in the building when it happens.
