Durant was making it look easy tonight, also the quietest I've ever heard Staples during a Laker game.

Really liking Earl Clark's play the last couple games. Would have made Pau expendable, had Hill not been done for the year. Maybe Pau is still expendable...who knows.

Laker brass has taken note, that's for sure.

The problem is still Dwight's walk-away contract. I mean, you really don't want to start next season with a front-line of Hill, Clark, and Metta, do you?

Chargers to stay in SD for at least one more year. Sorry for the mobile link:

http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1.../p2p-74038768/

I'm getting impatient with this. I don't really care which team moves here, but the Rams make the most sense. They are not loved in St. Louis.

How in the world did TWC outbid a $6 billion deal? Fox just choked. They had it in the bag.

Im hoping that since they worked out a deal for sportsnet that they can piggy back on that. However, I have a feeling that since it is going to be its own channel, they are going to butt heads.

Speaking of long-term deals, Staples Center and the Clippers have agreed to a new 10-year lease (kicks in after the current deal expires after next season). Woohoo!

So glad we won't have to see the flock of bandwagoners proudly displaying their Laker car flags come May-June.

They will change them out for Clipper flags, who could very well go deep in June.

I think the Lakers need to trade Howard. He is just not fitting into anything the Lakers want to do.

Or fire The coach, and get a real one. That will adapt to his players.

I don't understand this bandwagon thing. This is still a Laker town and most of the fans are too proud to jump ship. I hardly see people wear Clipper gear in LA. Last year when Chris Paul went to watch a Dodger game, he was booed when he was on the jumbotron. So I guess this Clipper success is despised by the majority of NBA fans in LA. I saw a Laker fan on TV who was proudly cheering for the Heat when they played the Clippers in early November. Of course, he was wearing a Kobe jersey.

He vetoed that trade because the NBA was the acting owner of the Hornets and they had to do what was best to attract potential buyers. Here's Mike Dunleavy explaining why that trade didn't happen. Skip to 10:46:

The Lakers didn't have to give up any young players. They would've only lost two aging players in Gasol and Odom. It was like, "Hey we've used up their primes so you can have their declining years. Now let us have that superstar PG." The Clippers' deal was better.

The problem I had with it is that the deal was in place and agreed to by both teams.

Now other teams are like "Well I could have offered more" and they sound like sour grapes. Well too bad. You didn't make the trade when you had the chance.

Instead, the commish vetoes it, and the Clips jump in after the fact knowing what kind of offer will be needed.

It's like whenever I make a trade in fantasy football, and then other teams whine because they weren't included in the trade talks.
