I really hope ovechkin is back on the left wing and johansson is off the first line. I think they need either brouwer or chimera on the first line with ovk and nick.
If things get off to a bad start maybe oates should switch it up and have rib on the first line with ovechkin
I don't know whether I want them to ride this out with Ovechkin at right wing or if I want them to go back to:
Ovechkin - Backstrom - Brouwer
and if they insist on keeping this righties on the right, lefties on the left thing going, then I think they should go with: Laich - Backstrom - Ovechkin when Laich is healthy
Also, I would give Fehr a shot on the second line to see what he's got:
Wolski - Ribeiro - Fehr

Ribs needs a better faceoff wing than Brouwer. If Hendricks can play on our top line, he can play on 2. And play soccer in the crease for Ribs
MP le'bad mouthing 2 games in and not even scratched should sit and sulk. It's his own fault if he believes George's lies every year.

Oates doesn't seem like the type to be strongarmed into making such decisions, though with the Caps' rough start (albeit through 2 games), who knows what he'll do.

I hope they can put on a better performance than the last game. I have a few things I want to see. 1. More heart and a better attitude. 2. Play better D. 3. The crowd needs to be into the game, it helps the players motivation. I predict that the Caps win 3-2 in overtime!!
I'll throw my hat in the "Ovechkin at RW sucks" thing. It sucks. It messes with the tendencies the guy has had his entire career. His shooting angles, instincts, positioning(lol) are all accustomed to LW. If you watch him shoot in the last two games, you notice he has absolutely no accuracy at all and he hesitated on a couple of occasions. It looks like ****. Seriously, he looks like a completely pedestrian player at RW. Then, I laugh at putting him at LD on the Power Play. I mean, what the ****.

God, every time I look at this lineup, I seriously wish we had at least one winger who has an ounce of skill after Ovechkin. Even a ****ing guy like Jeff Skinner-esque. We just have a collection of big, slow, stone handed bodies at 7 ****ing winger spots.

Hockey is largely a simple game. And opposite is a fine option. Its like blowing off the girl you really like, it goes against everything you think is the right way. But it can work.
