I just... don't? Stepan and Cally just hasn't worked very well together, ever.

Since the top line came out with a bang, we should ride it while its hot and go for something like this:

Gaborik-Richards-Nash
Pyatt-Stepan-Hagelin
Kreider-Boyle/Newbury-Callahan
Rupp-Halpern-Newbury/Boyle

I'm intrigued by Newbury's play in CT, and would actually like to see him get a better opportunity than being exiled to the 4th line.

When the Earth, Wind, and Fire line eventually cools down, I'd like to see them split up to get a more balanced attack:

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik

The line worked VERY well last year, and after an abysmal start Hagelin has steadily bee getting better. I think he'll be back to his former self soon enough.

Kreider/Pyatt-Stepan-Nash
I believe Gaborik needs Richards more than Nash, since he is at his best while being forgotten by the D. Nash is at his best with the puck on his stick. Stepan can get him the puck, and if he's ready, Kreider should be able to get some one-timers and rebounds. Otherwise Pyatt should be a good fit as a garbage-goaler.

Pyatt/Kreider-Boyle-Callahan
Meat and potatoes line. Plays a simple north-south game, can hopefully establish a hard forecheck and cycle well in the opponents' zone. In an ideal world, a more talented version of the Feds-Boyle-Prust line. This line should bring out the best in Cally, who often tries to get too fancy playing with Richards or Stepan - AKA Dubinsky syndrome.

Rupp-Halpern-Asham
The 4th, enough said.

Play Hank today and play Biron against Toronto. Then play Hank against Pittsburgh.

Anybody know if the Rangers will wear their Winter Classic jerseys against the Flyers/certain rivals this year?

Only against O6 teams and Sunday games, as far as I know.

Got to keep the winning streak going.

Wonder if Glen is working the phone lines to find a suitable third line player so Kreider can get his minutes going in the A.

Not really the right year to put up with growing pains, as Torts has made abundantly clear so far this season.

That's the heritage jersey. I'd like to seem them rotate the WC jersey, those are nice.

I say give Gilroy a shot tonight. Bickel is a nightmare on D, Eminger was ok in his 6 mins.

I like seeing Danny G making the effort to slap the puck from the point as opposed to wristing it. Looks like he worked on his shot a bit.

Need to get our 5-3 pp working... It's pathetic.

The Philly GDT has gone all Marvin the Paranoid Android, I actually feel kind of bad for them. Not so bad that I want them to have any sort of chance tonight of course. Man it's got to suck to be a Philly fan right now. I'm sure they'll pull out of it soon enough though.

You will have a decent number of Devils fans on your side tonight including me. I know we are a big rivalry... but I just hate Philly enough that I'd throw on a Ranger jersey and root for you guys tonight.

Make sure you send a memo to your players that once you get up 2-0, everyone should watch their heads and knees. Good luck tonight because there is NOTHING more enjoyable than a complete Philly implosion.

So guys I'm here to give you a rundown of our team. Remember how last year when you were beating us the offense was good and the defense was acceptable, but Bryz just sucked the entire time? This year is the total opposite. Have fun with you free win

I agree, he can play more minutes too, Emminger is slow, at least Gilroy can skate and move the puck...

I am kind of worried about this. Hopefully the players don't look at this like a free win, because then it probably won't be.

Its never a easy win against Philly. I can def both teams dropping the gloves at least twice.

Should be a great game as always! LGR!

Rick Nash should be able to run wild on Philly's D and goaltending, but yeah really don't want to get overconfident.

Giroux, Simmonds, Read, Couturier, Voracek...they still have guys who can put the puck in the net. Rangers need to make them play D for as much of the game as possible

Play Biron. Had a ton of success against Philly last year. Lines up perfect to do it again.
