Today's morning skate has been canceled. Any adjustments to the posted lines won't be made until near game time.

That's probably the most productive decision they could have made...

I get that it's a tough season with so many condensed games, but what about any of the 1st 3 games tells you this team is in the position to be forgoing practices?

Randy Miller projects the following lines, too, but that is pure speculation at this juncture:

http://blogs.courierpostonline.com/f...lyers-gameday/

Quote:
FLYERS PROJECTED LINEUP

Forwards

17-Wayne Simmonds, 28-Claude Giroux (C), 93-Jakub Voracek

26-Ruslan Fedotenko, 14-Sean Couturier, 24-Matt Read

15-Tye McGinn, 25-Max Talbot, 32 Tom Sestito

11-Eric Wellwood, 21-Scott Laughton, 45-Jody Shelley

Defense

44-Kimmo Timonen (A) & 22-Luke Schenn

8-Nick Grossmann & 5-Braydon Coburn

41-Andrej Meszaros & 27-Bruno Gervais

Rangers and Pens made a deal, too,

Quote:
Shelly Anderson ‏@pgshelly
#Penguins make essentially AHL deal, getting F Chad Kolarik from NYR for F Benn Ferriero.
Also, the Rangers have recalled Kris Newbury who may or may not play tonight. The Rangers have an optional morning skate. One possible change:

http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/rangerrants/

Quote:
To keep those three together, the Rangers must get more offensive contribution from their second line, which started last night as Chris Kreider-Derek Stepan-Ryan Callahan, though with Kris Newbury recalled from Connecticut (AHL) after last night’s game and Tortorella saying the organization had to discuss whether to send Kreider back to the Whale, I doubt the rookie starts there tonight. More likely, Carl Hagelin will go to the second line.

That lineup for us hurts my soul. Simmonds on the top line, Fedotenko playing in the top six, Sestito on the third line, Shelley playing...at all. Just...sad.

Starting 0-4 is the equivellent of going 0-7 to start an 82 game season.

Lets try and avoid that....

Yeah 0-4 would be bad but if we somehow win tonight, its the kinda win that can completely turn the season around. Need bryz to continue being solid and g to put the team on his back tonight. If we win, I'm thinkin it has to be like 2-1 or 3-2. And absolutely can't let them strike first.

Let's not forget that if we lose tonight we will have lost to 3 of 4 division rivals too. Making them all 4 point games. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

If they lose and they lose badly like against NJ it will really be insulting considering how NJ and NYR owned us last year. Way to make a statement...

I haven't read your full thread, just wanted to see how you guys do your setup...but I did want to make 1 small correction in case nobody has mentioned it before..

in your GDT you have:
Michael Sauer could be scratched healthy

Sauer isn't healthy, he's got a concussion, many people think he may never play hockey again.

I see no way we win this game, and solely because of that, I think we win.

Final Score: 1-0 Flyers

Bryz with 54 saves and the lone goal goes in off of Shelley's leg
