That will take some time to heal and will hurt the Leafs tremendously, he's a huge piece of their offense.

Mike Smith just exited during a tv timeout after 12 minutes, and a 0-0 game.

Would anyone want the hawks to trade for him?

He would make the d stellar but I don't know how much he wants or what mtl wants for him. The hawks seem to have good chemistry and I would hate for a trade to mess things up.

He tweaked his "groin" in all likelihood.

Nope. Went to commercial, when they came back he wasn't even on the bench.

Looks like Mike Smith injured his hand. No official word, but they went back and showed him shaking it after taking a shot off it that got under the blocker.

Uhhh... how about **** yea?! Other than money demands, what's not to like about him? Solid size, very good skater, right handed, great point shot, plays with grit (would be one of the few besides Seabrook and Brookbank, when he plays, that actually hits), solid defensively (good shot blocker), good locker room presence (classic love him on your team, hate him if he isn't type) good hockey sense, etc. He has his flaws of course, but he is still only 23. Stick him with Leddy (that'll be an ideal partner for Leddy) for the next 10+ years and it wouldn't surprise me if they both become potential top D-men for this team once Keith and Seabs decline.

Yotes are a joke... sorry to say it but the sooner they get moved the better for the NHL.

No to Subban on the Hawks.

It's a late arriving crowd. Lower level looked pretty full during the 3rd.

Get them to Quebec.

They don't deserve to have a team there. The excuses are over now. They were in the WCF last year. The barn should be at least 90 percent full.

With their new-found success last year, all the promotions they do, and with how meaningful the games are, they should have a substantial crowd.

I'd love Subban. That'd be a great acquisition.

I'd trade Leddy and Teuvo.

Huh? I watched the whole game. It was empty from beginning to start.

Unless you were being sarcastic. Official attendance was barely over 8K, under 50% full... and even that was being generous.

I'm pretty sure he's always had a soft spot for the Coyotes.

As I was saying, that is a good team. WCF, promotions, and hockey being back should have fans running through the turnstiles.

Seattle has an arena now. They need to go there, get a rivalry going with the Canucks.

****, I was thinking Seattle and never included it in the post.

I think it's reasonable to keep the Seattle Coyotes in the Pacific, too.

Speaking of the Nucks, they also had a good amount of empty seats towards the end of the 3rd period. Official attendance for them was 105%, but they all didn't stay till the end, that's for sure. That arena was also pretty damn silent most of the game too.

It always is until the playoffs. I don't understand it. They really amp it up when the towels come out, though.

That was the first time in a while that I had seen a Nucks game not against the Hawks. Was surprised by their lack of physicality. Obviously playoff hockey is a whole different beast, but they didn't hit ANYONE all night long. The Sedins were invisible as well.
