What about Nabby? Does he look to have any of his magic back that he had in San Jose?
Nabby played solid. I think he played well last year, and most of the time was the reason we won alot of games. He is not a top tier goalie, but 100% he is good enough for a legit play off team. The first two games Grabner has been quick like always, but his decision making has been awesome and he has been just plan old effective.

There is a decent chance you guys see DP tonight. If that is the case I honestly think we will need to put up at least 5 against you guys in order to win lol.

What kind of coach would break up a JVR - Grabo - Kulemin after their last night's performance.

The thing I sorta laugh at, is that the Islanders likely can't afford to amnesty him, so you guys are stuck with him still.

DP is freakin brutal. Maybe we will hurt him for you guys

Maybe one who just lost his first line winger to a broken arm?

MacA - Bozak - Kessel
JVR - Grabo - Kule
Frattin - Kadri - Komarov
Orr - McClement - Brown

This look about right?

Was it really the line last night, or the fact the coach called out Grabo and JVR that lite a fire? I say the latter, which shouldn't make him beholden to no line change. Mac is comfortable with Grabo and Kuli, makes sense to move a power forward with size onto the line with Kessel, then slot Frattin with Kadri who he's also comfortable playing with. I don't think a smallish first line with Mac replacing Lupul is a wise decision, no balance.

This is going to be a tough one tonight, the Leafs need to keep doing what they've been doing in the defensive zone and keep it simple. Also I'm hoping Kessel gets rewarded for his play so far this season. He's hustling like a mad man out there in every zone, which is just awesome to see. Once he pot's one, he's really going to turn it on.

Very, very early, but one key reason for Leafs success: a .931 team save percentage, putting them ninth. And an 84.6% penalty kill.

Luongo who?

This will be a tough game because the Islanders are not seen as a huge threat.

Classic Leafs.

Found an interesting stat

In the last 29 meetings with the Leafs, the Isles are 7-21-1

Like all superstars in the league...Tavares can play his best against leafs.

Sid because he was a habs fan and tavares because he was a leaf fan. Yes this logic is flawed but you know it makes sense !

It'll be a tough game because we just completely outplayed one of the best teams in the league less than 24 hours ago

But it should be as good a chance as any for Kessel to break his slump with DiPietro in net and a weak Islanders D.

They are both playing well and I guess with back to back games, it would be the best option.
