Sure is. From Orson Welles' "The Trial". A film that I unconditionally adore frame-for-frame.

Interesting; I hated it, but that may be because I had just finished reading the story and had my hopes too high. I felt the film lacked the impact of the story. But no more asides, here...

Let the Habs have him, it is delightful watching "the gold standard" franchise spiral into irrelevance.

Such skill wasted on a pos like him

Hasn't he gotten into multiple altercations with fellow teammates ?

I wouldn't be adverse to seeing him with the B's, especially with his brother being part of the family now. But I can't think of anyone that I would be willing to part with that Montreal would be asking for.

The price would be too much for me, I think....

The Habs may not get fair value for him anyway cause other team can just give him an offer sheet for what he wants (~5M/y from what we hear) and it only cost a 1st and a 3rd I think. or maybe also a 2nd.

It surprises me that the agent of Subban and Benn aren't trying to sign an offer sheet with another team. Smells collusion to me...

4.5m 1 year, deal with it in the summer.

Either get him back ASAP or tank for Jones with PK as a holdout. Can't get fair value for him this season.

Yes, but I would imagine one would become enraged if your teammates were stealing your kotex and mydol all the time too.

i don't think there's anyway that Montreal would trade him to us. Maybe Philly will trade Couturier for him or Detroit will trade for him.

I hear you but for me its all about making the Bruins the best they can be. If I have to hurt someones feelings sending them to the Hab's so be it.

To me its all about the cup.

I'm with you. A D-Core with Chara, Hamilton and PK would easily be the best in the league.

I would do a 1st and a 3rd for him no problem at all. 5M a year is a little much but it would depend on how many years he wants.

I think one of the NHL Insiders, pretty sure it was McKenzie, said about a week ago that PK was looking for a "Doughty" contract. That's why they are $2.5-$3 mil apart. The Habs want to pay $4-4.5 mil and PK values himself at $7 mil over a long contract.

The Bruins don't have the cap space next offseason for an additional $4.5-$6 million contract unless they feel like trading Kelly or Peverley. It's going to be hard enough trying to first re-sign Tuukka, Horton and Ference (plus a backup goalie, extra forward, extra defenseman and third line left wing if Bourque doesn't cut it).

if he is looking for that he is insane and I wouldn't go anywhere near it and I don't think anyone else will either.

To bad Burke isn't with the leafs he may have.

You'd trade a guy who has a decent chance of being a Norris nominee sometime in next 5 years over 0.5 million $ ???

This whole dispute looks really stupid and if it goes on another week I think it will hurt the reputations of both Bergevin & Don Meehan, they really need to settle on 2-3 years, 4.5 - 5 million and move on. A young RFA missing games over a contract negotiations is embarrassing.
