Normally you can get some really good deals on stubhub last minute, but lately that hasn't been happening at all. It's like people stopped paying to see the Yankees, Mets, Jets and are instead paying to see the Knicks & Rangers. You can't give away a Yankees ticket anymore yet you can't find a Knicks ticket anywhere. Rangers tickets can be found but you have to pay full value, even at these inflated prices with the new garden. I still think there will be deals later in the season

This was exactly my point. If I could find tickets from someone who just can't sell them and wants to at least get SOMETHING for them, I would go to any of those games. I don't care what is going on. That is a price that I couldn't pass up.

Actually you can get that any game if you want to head out to Nassau Coliseum

I do that a lot

Thing is, my girlfriend is a Rangers fan; she gets excited to go to any Rangers game. It's one of our special things; we go to 4-5 games every year and spend some time in the city and what not. Now, she likes hockey, outside of the Rangers, but not enough that I can get her excited about going to Nassau to watch the Piles take on the Jets, just so I can see Kane and Bogosian. I still do it a lot, either solo, with her or with a buddy, but it's not the same. On the odd times we find a deal on Rangers tickets, it's like a holiday.

I can see that besides the last 2 Devils games. March and April are mostly out of division.

I'm in the city Mondays and Wednesdays so I would love to be able to hit up a game. Is it common for people to sell tickets outside the Garden for under face value?

The Rangers only have 4 home games on Monday or Wednesday, but I'd still like to be able to get to a game at some point this year. Just tough being in college, between school, internship and the fact that I'm almost always broke.

I usually only get to 1-2 games a year. Me and my buddies always go to one of the Rangers-Devils games at Prudential Center, but it's nothing like a game at the Garden.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No. Most of the scalpers now sell counterfeit tickets. Every game you will see a handful of people with extras standing inside near the ticket booths trying to get rid of an extra ticket but you have to be careful as there is a NYC law prohibiting reselling tickets within a certain distance of the venue. As a precaution I would ask the person to walk in with me so I can be sure the ticket is good.

I wouldn't say "most", but I would say there is a lot of counterfeit tickets circulating. I don't buy much off the street anymore but when I did, I would ask the guy to pose for a picture on my cell phone holding the tickets. If the guy said no then I just walked away. The legit sellers will also often be willing to walk with you to the gate, but sometimes the scalpers don't want to bother because they have a pile of tickets to unload in a short amount of time

Would anyone be interested in mini plan D? http://rangers.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=63867

a contact of mine at msg said he could get me 2 tix in Sect 214, row 13, seats 7-8. the cost is $93/ticket/game, which is obviously over the STH price. Total cost would be $1,116.00.

Alternatively, would anyone be interested in only one/some of the games at the price quoted?

Would love to be able to have renewal rights for next year, but don't think I can plop down a grand right now.

A lot guys in here seem to have a single season ticket. I can understand why but you guys should try to get together and move your seats together in the offseason so you can pair up and have an easier sell for your extras

I get what you're saying, but it's tough when one person wants to go and the other doesn't. It pretty much means I have to go on the open market and dump a single seat, which is what I'd have to do anyway for games I don't attend.

Actually that's not what I meant. If you have a single, you can find someone else here who has a single and try to get seats together, but not so you can go to games together. You would do it so you can say to him, "hey I'm not going to be able to use X Y Z games, are you not also going to X Y or Z? If not, let's list that game for sale as a pair instead of a single and split the revenue"

Yeah, they aren't going to have two singles right next to one another...I mean that would mean they are splitting a pair into two 1 seat accounts. No point in that. And as in your case...a lot of the single seat holders only have 1 seat because they couldn't get a pair. Obviously there's also those who only want 1, but again, they aren't breaking up a set contiguous seats to give it to you.

Anyone have a reasonable pair for tomorrow night? Not looking for great seats, but I'm going to be in Manhattan all day tomorrow anyhow and it would be very rewarding if I could take in the game after running around all day. Let me know. On a fairly tight budget, but if you've got anything you can't get rid of or with a pretty low face value, I'm interested.

There were singles available in the last online select a seat. And I believe you can pick off a single from a set of three. So if you saw an available next to the other guy's seat you could do it. Most likely you would need to get on the phone with your rep if he was willing to accomodate a split when you saw a pair available

Selling 1 ticket to 1/29 game vs Flyers. Section 224, row 6, seat 16. Seat is just a hair to the right of the center line and is close to the portal leading to the 8th floor concourse, restrooms, and beer/pizza vendors. You are also behind the TV cameras but they do not interfere with the sightline (see picture). Picture was taken from the seat with an iPhone 4s and no zoom. Looking for $90.

This is a really nice seat location, a lot better than I was expecting to be honest.
