Wanting To Lose?

Simple question why would you want your team to loose, we've seen some Chelsea fans want to loose because of change in manager, same with some Southampton fans.

In my view you cant call yourself a supporter of a team if in any way you want them to loose.

The only time I'd be okay with losing was if I was in a cup and the aggregate was an insane gap to the point where the manager fields the 2nd team just for experience's sake.

Of course not.

If we were to talk NHL; it'd be a bit harder, simply because of the draft... but the NHL need to change the draft lottery.

Chelsea and Southampton fans turning indignant about their respective clubs' shabby treatment of managers is a funny development. Both clubs have chewed up and spat out one boss after another down the years.

I wonder to what degree those fans are grandstanding for the benefit of the media. Some people, after all, will say or do anything to be seen/heard by a large number of people.

The creation of the EPL and the advent of rolling news has exponentially increased the number of professionally irate, rent-a-quote, gob****e fans attached to every club across the land. What's really annoying is when the media paints these people as representing the opinion of everyone who supports a club.

During my "career" I wanted to win every single match. I expect nothing less from my favourite teams.

If your manager is really a bad dude then OK, but unless Abramovich appoints Coach Stalin and he gets caught running a gulag on the side, Chelsea fans should chill out ...

Several of those spoiled brats could use a time out in the gulag though.
