As a third pairing I won't complain one bit.

Falk, I will definitely agree with but I've actually been happy with Stoner's play so far this year. He really hasn't looked out of place next to Gilbert on the second pairing in the first few games and I have hope that he can be a solid #4/5 d-man.

The Falk/Prosser pairing absolutely needs to be split up. There's just way too much unecessary stress when they're out there together.

Very excited to see him. I think he'll step into Prosser's spot and work his way up the ranks pretty quickly. He should be a top four defenseman pretty much right away IMO.

Just curious to see how he handles a more physical style of play but Gilbert hasn't been soft this year, so a pairing with him...nice.

Noticed this huge, playing way more physical than last year.

Stoner hasn't been terrible, but he's not a top-4 d-man. He's a bottom pairing guy who can step up in case of injuries, and not look completely lost.

Stoner has always been great fools. I want that guy in our line-up permanently. The moment he's gone I'm going to see "Physical Dman to Wild" threads constantly.

Also, Falk has been more physical this year in a good way. Maybe he was concerned about getting out of position before. But he's had some nice hip-checks. He's a bit of a pylon, but his good stick makes up for a lot of that, and he's a pretty good skater for his size.

This exactly. Stoner's been decent, Falk's been decent, but give them easier matchups and less ice time and they get even better.

Barring injury, Brodin will be paired with Suter by the end of the season.

He will lose some puck battles and turn over some pucks as he adapts to the speed/physicality of the NHL forecheck but his skating, gap coverage, and first pass are going to overshadow any mistakes he makes.

I know I have only seen him for 9 games on NA ice but he has been that impressive. And playing with a Suter will only speed up his development, imo.

Can't wait to see Brodin. A little surprised he only got 1 game in the AHL, but he is Brodin.

Yes yes yes but will he be #25 or #40? That's the real question.

Very excited to see him play in a Wild uni.

Really excited Brodin is back in the mix and once Scandella is healthy our defense will be able to move the puck much more efficiently. 14 turnovers the other night vs Nashville was disgusting.

I liked the way Yeo put it yesterday. . .if Brodin can look as good as he did against Parise and Koivu in practice last week, he can play against anybody.

I'm more concerned he not get hurt again. Taylor Hall is not exactly a bruiser and he broke his clavicle. Brodin is a huge talent, but he's still not physically mature.

Why not keep Gilbert with Stoner? That seemed to work out fine.. Suter and Brodin together would be much more sexy

Because Suter is still learning the System and Brodin has never played for the Wild. Put people that know the Wild's system well with people learning it.

The Wild and Aeros run the same system, so that shouldn't be an issue. It's probably just that JB is not ready for top pairing minutes.

This. I've always been a big Stoner fan and I think he's a great bottom pairing d-man. Much better than Falk or Prosser.

Stoner has played alright so far this year. I'm happy he's in our lineup.

Falk has not been horrible. More physical and a little meaner than previous years, so as long as he stays on the bottom pairing, that should be alright.

Prosser... I think I die a little inside everytime he's on the ice. Who the hell thought this idiot was ever NHL material. They need to get rid of him asap. He's so bad he shouldn't even be sent to Houston. Just trade his ass so some sad team. Don't let him on the plane after the Detroit game, I don't care, but he really hurts us every shift he is on.
