I hate those games. They're meaningless. Qualify for the CCL instead. If so, get a friendly in Mexico to play. At least, they'll learn how to play vs those teams instead of European stars playing half seriously.
Ofcourse not. I'd rather see friendlies against top-notch teams than play in CCL and maybe beat crap teams then get destroyed by Santos.
It's a great way to interact with European teams, garner attention and give the fans a fun show of great players.

If anything ill sleep better. The fact that we have a player that is capable of playing in the Bundesliga (without considering his role) makes me really excited about this pick.
Of course I would rather see the Impact in the Champion League but they have to qualify first. For debate sake I think Montreal is an event city and a match against a high profile European Team can make the sporting event of the summer. I think the Impact will be able to built a notierity by collecting those event so I don't see why you guys see those match as pointless.

Each game of the Concacaf run was an event for those who followed the team at the time.......you just had to be there.
And the game vs. santos Laguna was one I will remember for ever
From my understanding he's going to be playing in Germany for the next 6 months. I'm unsure whether or not we'll be able to sign him after the 6 months are up.
I wouldnt say we lost him. I say we gained more of a valuable asset. Our roster is set so all he would be doing is practicing/playing in the reserves.
With Frankfurt he has the chance to play with higher level talent which is much better for his development process. So if he doesn't pan out he will play for us or cost someone else in the MLS hefty assets to trade for. Win/Win.
