I've just realized that no matter what Kadri does, he's never going to get recognized by HFBoards. He'll keep proving everybody wrong, like he's done in the juniors, then in the AHL, and now in the NHL.
They were talking about Spezza giving him advice over the summer and how the AHL helped him become a better player.
Just look at an elite guy like Spezza, he didn't become the player he is today from the day he was drafted, he was up and down and he worked hard in the AHL, something that Kadri has always done.
Obviously, Spezza >> Kadri, I'm just saying that it doesn't matter if it takes 2-3 years to get to the NHL, as long as you get there and have an impact.
I'm a Leafs fan and I haven't seen a lot of Holland. That being said, given their production, and after seeing Kadri A LOT, I'm comfortable with Kadri right now. That doesn't mean Holland won't become better.
Haven't seen a ton of Holland but from what I've seen from Nazem this year, he's looked pretty damn good and fits right in in the NHL. Every level Kadri's played at, he's excelled. The argument that he's never really cracked the Leafs is such a weak argument considering he's just a kid. The Devils and Wings don't rush their prospects and they're known as two of the best development systems in the league.

Cry me a river, he hasn't even stuck to the Leafs of all teams for a full season yet.

Curse of being in a heavily media centred market.
Kessel is top 10 in scoring and it's still not enough. It's easier to find something wrong with a player than admit wrongness...
They've put up eerily similar stats in the AHL. Both scoring around a .9 PPG. I prefer Holland's style of play to Kadri, but I don't think you could go wrong either way.
