Not sure Orr's up for another heavyweight tilt after his epic with Engelland last night. If you haven't caught it, check out the video on the fight forum. They were throwing BOMBS for over a minute. Orr opened up a cut under Engelland's eye, but Engy landed some massive bombs himself, rocking Orr back a couple of times.

Leafs were forechecking hard last night. If they play like they did against the Pens, the Isles defense is going to be under siege.

Ok, guys, catch me up...How's Visnovsky playing? I did notice a few weeks ago that Nino is ripping up the AHL - he must be thrilled to be getting ice time now! When did we sign Jesus to be our backup goalie? I might have to fly up there this season to catch a game at Barclay's Center!

Very nice, Killer!

Okay, I admit it. I tried to scroll down in Gmail to read more.

Best GDT ever, Law.

I didn't catch that fight, now I'm interested. Too bad though, Carkner-Orr would definitely be one to see.

In terms of our defense, they're going to be under siege all year STK. You follow this team, you should know that.

I mean, Orr will probably go. It's what he's paid to do. But I'm not sure he'll be feeling at his best after last night's bout.

Fair enough, but I was referring more to the style the Leafs were playing against the Pens. They were really, really aggressive on the forecheck. Even Kessel was in there giving the Pens' defensemen zero time to do anything with the puck.

In order to beat that kind of forecheck, your defensemen have to move the puck quickly, and just as importantly, your forwards will have to really do a good job of supporting the defense and giving them an outlet. The Pens didn't do either very well last night, and it cost them 5 goals and a loss.

That is why I would rather see Hickey in there instead of Finley.

You obviously haven't spent too much time over here in HF Isles.

Pay attention to Aucoin's stick. I noticed it the first two games. Its practically the same height as him. He has to have the largest height to stick height ratio in the league.

lol, the defending player's stick is practically the length of Aucoin's stick from his bottom hand down.

I'm sure Orr will oblige if he has to, but there is honor amongst the heavyweights. If Orr is hurting from last night's fight, I don't think Carkner would press the issue unless someone does something boneheaded to give a reason for them to engage.

I didn't see the game, but I was a little surprised that Toronto took it to the Pens. If the Isles stick to their 'big' lineup with Finley in there, it could be a long night for us. Counting on JT to come up big in his hometown, from what I remember... he usually plays pretty well there. It's gotta be his mom's cooking.

I've read through Snow's Post #1 google account a dozen times now.

I just can't begin to express how AWESOME I find it!

Good times... Good stuff!

Law - I only wish you could be getting some type of monetary reward that your GDTs clearly have earned you.

Fantastic GDT. A glimpse into the "madness" we Isles fans deal with every day, every season.

Leafs 5, Isles 1 - if DP starts
Leafs 3, Isles 2 (SO) - if Nabby starts

Yeah..I noticed his stick too which makes me think he has better hands than most. The longer the stick, the more difficult it is to stick handle..kinda like skis..you have more agility when it's short. The fact that he's pretty good with a longer stick tells me he's got some skill no one has noticed.. I'd love to see him on JT's line for a few games..show Okposo how it's supposed to be played.

If DP really is going to start a game (God help us) just let him start in Boston. Gonna lose that one anyway so might as well throw him in there. Never let him start a game we have a real chance of winning.

I was feeling good after Monday's win only to have the Nino fiasco burst my bubble. Really sucks to have one of our best prospects have his agent ask out, especially on the heels of Visnovsky not reporting.... The only thing to get rid of that bitter taste is winning!! If we win, things will change.. With that said, I like what I've seen so far, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they stick with Reasoner and Finley. I'd rather see Cizikas and Hickey/Martinek. Anyway........ just win!!

Absolutely agree. Nabby needs to start tonight, and if DP plays a game he needs to be thrown to the wolves in Boston.
