Prosser is toast.
Brodin might knock down Spurgeon.
Scandella will knock down Stoner and Falk.

I'm more concerned he not get hurt again. Taylor Hall is not exactly a bruiser and he broke his clavicle. Brodin is a huge talent, but he's still not physically mature .
Don't know if you saw the hit but Hall was flying. Brodin did not appear to prepare himself for the hit. While I agree that he has not filled out his frame, I don't think I would use the Hall hit as a cause of concern for Brodin being easily injured. Who knows, though, I could be completely wrong =)

So, once Scandella is healthy, how do we see the D pairings?
Suter-Brodin
Scandella-Gilbert
Stoner-Spurgeon?
Or Does Scandella switch off with Falk on the bottom pairing while Stoner remains with Gilbert?
I am putting a lot of faith into Brodin here...

I could see something like:
Suter - Spurgeon
Gilbert - Brodin
Stoner - Scandella
When everyone is healthy, i mean. Its pretty balanced.

I'm one of those that sees Brodin on the top pair sooner rather than later, but not immediately. Suter is still getting the hang of the system himself. Maybe a couple weeks from now.

I like:
Suter - Gilbert
Stoner - Brodin
Scandella - Spurgeon
Falk
Gives the top pairing excellent puck-moving ability, and should be able to play 25+ minutes easy.
Stoner stays on the 2nd pairing based on his play thus far, which I think has been exceptional; also gives Brodin a stay-at-home partner to perhaps allow him to explore the ice a bit.
Scandella-Spurgeon is a very solid 3rd pairing which can contribute offensively.

Looks like he will.
Also, Russo tweeted to someone that he assumes he will play even if Spurgeon is ready.

Kind of fitting his first game would be against the Red Wings...

Sorry. What I meant is that it's his lowest ceiling.

We already have a Brodie. And he isn't anything to write home about. Let's keep it Swedish.
