I think starting Nabby tomorrow even if he wins tonight is a bad idea. He's our only hope at competing for the playoffs. Need to keep him as rested as possible. DP(or whoever our backup ends up being) is going to get a decent amount of starts. Can't avoid it. Overusing our 37 year old goaltender is a recipe for disaster.

Carkner and Orr is almost a guaranteed fight tonight, these guys have a nice rivalry going. Orr has dropped Carkner a couple times and Carkner dropped Orr once, usually toe to toe scraps.

Great job Law. One of the funniest GDT's ever.

Glad Nabby is starting again. Need him to come up big for us this season.

Glad to see Nabakov get the start against Toronto instead of having him start against Boston, we know Boston is a killer team so we should be trying to lock up the games we have a better chance in. Let DP start in Boston and pray to ****ing god that he or the team has a solid showing.

It makes too much sense. We have a good chance of beating Toronto, a team somewhat close to us in talent that is coming off of a game last night against Pittsburgh, if Nabby is net.

For Boston, chances are we're a heavy underdog either way, but at least playing DP gives Nabby another two days of rest and, who knows, maybe Ricky gets pumped playing back in his hometown and has a solid game. I'm not a DP hater, and think he could be a decent goalie when healthy. It's just a matter of how long that health lasts.

Off topic: What's up with NBC Sports? Is it blacked out for Cablevision subscribers? Everyone? Only me? Tried to watch the Rags game last night and all I got was a black screen.

I'm out of market, so not sure. But are you sure that it wasn't on MSG b/c it was a local game?

The Rangers are carried on MSG, so yes its not surprising that NBC sports was blacked out.

They were playing some old school Knicks game on MSG. Unless it was on one of the other MSG channels. But I know what you guys are talking about, when Isles/Rags games are scheduled for NBCS or NHLN they will show NHL live or some type of highlight show instead. This was different. The channel doesn't even exist. Black screen 24/7.

I watched the Rangers on NBCSN on DirecTV. Not a blackout issue, must be a Cablevision issue.

That's what I figured, but I couldn't find any info online. Maybe I'll make a phone call, make sure it isn't a problem with my cable box or something.

I live in Suffolk and it worked fine for me last night? That's weird that it didn't

Yeah it is. I get everything else. NHLN, movie channels, etc. It worked in the past. All of a sudden it's gone. Definitely weird and annoying, but at least it wasn't an Isles game that I missed.

Leafs were forechecking hard last night. If they play like they did against the Pens, the Isles defense is going to be under siege.
Leafs played better than I thought they were capable of, though the Pens weren't at their best and Reimer played really well. Goaltending is too much of a make/break in the NHL these days.

I don't expect Orr to have another fight tonight though I think the Isles might start some because it tends to give the team some fire. Especially on the road. Matt Martin pretty much said that the coaching staff wanted them to fight before the game against Tampa when he was on NHL Live. He made a not-so-subtle comment about it.

The Leafs should be tired, that was a tough game yesterday, lots of energy and good tempo. But both the Isles and Leafs have a history of laying eggs so anything can happen.

Should be a fun game.

I always enjoy reading the bloated sense of self-confidence in the Leafs forum, as if we're somehow not worthy of being scraped off their shoes.

An awful lot of confidence in a team that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in NINE years.

LGI!

As a Leaf Fan I couldn't agree more - its really embarrassing.

Best of Luck to NYI tonight. Hope Hamonic has a big game.

Keep an eye out for Leo Komorov - he's a gem.
