I...highly doubt they move Couturier to Giroux's wing, especially when Schenn is suspended for a game.

I wonder if they are going to call up a phantom tomorrow, and didn't today also because they were playing tonight. Small playmaker in Akeson or big body goal scorer in Noebels.

**** it, call them both up and switch everything around!

Has there been a news article called "Hartnell down" yet?

A player like Hartsy who plays in front of the net to screen the goalie a lot should absolutely wear those additional transparent foot shells to avoid such injuries. It's the same as not wearing a visor - you willingly accept a potential season ending injury. Just stupid and nothing else.

If that was Carle shooting then Hartnell's foot wouldn't have gotten hurt. It would have tickled.

I'm all for it. They can't be worse then the alternatives (shelley and sestito). I read on CSNphilly that while Briere practiced on G's wing in place of hartnell, he may not even be read for this weekend. So yeah we'll be getting Schenn back soon but hartnell and Briere could potentially miss the next 3 games (maybe more for hartnell).

I presume this means Laughton will be sticking around for the sinking ship this year.

I'm no Akeson fan at all, but it might be time to call up a so called skill guy from the A. There were too many role players in the lineup before Schenn and Hartnell were out of the lineup, now anything seems worth a shot.

We're soft enough..Akeson has about as much grit as a pane of glass

it's broken, no doubt for me. if you think about the way xray results are handled in any sport, if it's not broken they say the xrays were negative before the tech can get the lead sheet off of the player.

Agreed, when they said he's out indefinitely that to me signaled it wasn't just a contusion that at the very least there was a fracture. Hopefully it's just a few weeks in a walking cast and not surgery.

\sometimes an xray is cloudy and they need to do an mri. Sometimes they ahve to evaluate the type of break too. That also would incude an mri. Either way the wait is puzzling.

Ugh. I guess it's OK to burn a year of Laughton as long as he actually plays.

I'll allow Tom Servo to express my thoughts on the Flyers' current run of luck:
