Crosby - Ovechkin because both were considered the best player at a given time.

Or Lemieux and who cares who was drafted after him (Clark) because Lemieux was way better than anybody else in this poll.

Went Crosby/Ovechkin with this.

Might have been even more obvious like two years ago, but then I reminded myself that I would not have had a iota of doubt about a Malkin/Crosby duo and how head and shoulders above everyone from 04 incl. Malkin Ovechkin used to be.

I'd put Lindros/Nolan over Stamkos/Tavares.

In any case, it's Crosby and Ovechkin. They are both generational talents.

I'd take Lemieux and Patrik Stefan. Doesn't matter who the other one is if you're drafting Mario Lemieux.

Ovechkin + Crosby means more to a team than Lemieux + Stefan.

Where's Hopkins and Hall? They're leading the oilers into a dynasty run and there not on the list? :

But really... I went Sid and OV

Super Mario and Wendel Clarke... imagine them playing together? That would've been beyond sick.

Was a tossup between Perreault-Lafleur, Lemieux-Clark.

What happened to Wendell in 93-94? He suddenly scored 46 in 64 when his second best total before that was 86-87 season with 37 in 80.

For Wendel. Mario spent most of his career playing with players better than Wendel Clark. Jagr, Francis, Stevens, Recchi.

As good as Ovechkin and Crosby are, I'm flabbergasted that Lemieux/Clark aren't winning this poll...

It makes me realize that I'm a lot older than most people on this board

In all honesty, this could take it. Both have HoF potential and could be perennial award winners.

But as of now, it's totally Sid-OV.

I'd take Clarke over Stevens or Recci. Clarke spent most of his career playing with less talented players or undeveloped players.

Since when is Wendel Clark even remotely close to being as good as Crosby and Ovechkin? His career high was 76 points. It would take Crosby a little more than fifty games to beat that.

Let's not overrate Lemieux. Yes, he's probably the most talented player of all time but he's not better than the combination of a 65 goal scorer and a 120 point generational center.

Voted Ovie/Sid.

Lol @ people who voted Lemieux/Clarke over Ovie/Sid and Perrault/Lafleur.
