I don't think Lucic will be traded out of Boston anytime soon. Boston declines.

Boston pretty easily passes. Lucic will cost more then EDM would want to pay. Pretty much offering spare parts for him to be honest.

Lucic is the quintessential Big Bad Bruin and a fan favorite (I believe they market the **** out of him, what with the Lucic Crew t-shirts and all). Unless his game severely regresses in Boston, he isn't going anywhere.

Lucic is definitely one player that would require more than he is worth to acquire. He brings such a rare combination of size and skill which is in huge demand across the league. And no, this proposal isn't even close to getting it done.

To get Lucic you have to give something up that hurts. Whitney is an often injured pending UFA who has sucked this year from what little I've seen. Hemsky is also often injured, UFA after next year which he earns $5,000,000, too much for his injuries and production lately.

He's looking better than ever, 2 goals in 3 games and 20 hits or something close to that, I would rather just keep him if it were up to me.

Awful. If you're getting Lucic, you're giving up something you don't want to give.

Not even close, That package wouldnt even come close to getting Lucic let alone adding ference. Here is the counter back to you so you understand,

Boston

Hall
Fistric

Edmonton

Paille
Johnson
3rd round

Boston must respectfully decline.
Looch won't be leaving for an offer like that.

It's going to take loads of overpayment to get Lucic, and this is far from it. The price he's valued at by the organization is far more than any team would want to pay.

This team's identity does a flip and lands on it's neck without him. Two glass bones and paper skin players make it worse.

Your attempt to "teach the Oilers fan a lesson" failed miserably.

Hemsky > Paille
Whitney >> Johnson
EDM 2nd >>> BOS 3rd

Sorry still has to be no.

Lucic has a rare skill set and physical game that is hard to come by. He may be worth more here in Boston than anywhere else.
Anyway if he was on the block there would be one hell of a bidding war IMO.

Agreed and he is what every SMALL SKILLED team needs. And if he ever was on the market someone will over pay for him.

disagree with bolded and Im an Oiler fan.

Whitney is a pending UFA and has clearly lost a step in his game.
Hemsky looks good so far but wont fetch us any more than Ference let alone Lucic..
If I was BOS I would bashfully decline this proposal

You offer for Hall isn't even close. Hemsky is at least a legit top 6. I am not saying the deal is fair but please at least make it some what the same as the original post.

Its too early to tell about this one.

True, some teams end up with more skill than they need in relation to the grit that it takes to go deep into the playoffs and might look to unload some truly top-end talent. I could see that possibly happening in Edmonton at some stage, but as the clock ticks today Yakupov is not a proven commodity.
