With everyone healthy, we need to do things differently. Cammy needs to be put somewhere else, the top line needs some changes, and Jones hasn't impressed me. I propose the following:

Cammy - Tangs - Iginla
Glencross - Cervenka - Hudler
Baertchi - Backlund - Comeau
Horak - Stajan - Stempniak

I think Cammy needs a game in the press box even tho Stemps has 2 goals his 5v5 play hasn't really impressed me he also could be a option for the press box. I would run with

Tangs - Cervenka -Iginla (allows Tangs and Cervenka to switch if need be and Iginla can also help with faceoffs)
Glencross - Stajan - Stempniak/Cammy (our shutdown line)
Baertchi - Backlund - Hudler (lots of fire power and great speed)
Comeau - Jones/Begin - Begin/Jackman(physical line)

I think the Tanguay-Cervenka-Iginla line can be great.

Glencross-Cammalleri-Hudler
Baertschi-Backlund-Stempniak

Id like to leave Backlund on the top-6 for now, he has been great so far this season.

Stempniak has been easily better than Cammalleri. Why put Stemp on the 4th line?

Center By Committee (TM), now used by the Calgary Flames!

Stempniak/Cammalleri on a shutdown line? Are you serious?

Now I know this post has to be a joke. Hudler has tons of offensive talent and great vision and hockey IQ, but one thing he doesn't have is "great speed". Completely average skater; being a small guy he often gets it as a double-negative for not being a fast guy.

I just wonder how you're going to manage rolling Comeau/Begin/Begin on some nights...

We are already using it Tanguay took 10 faceoffs Iginla took 11. Don't see why adding another player who could take faceoffs is any worse.

Stempniak/Cammalleri on a shutdown line? Are you serious?

Stempniak already is on our shutdown line as Stajan-Stempniak have been the two most common players against other top lines. Cammy is in there as a choice if we sit Stemps both are better options then Hudler or the kids.

Hudler is the great shot on the line the other two have great speed I don't think it is that hard to figure out.

I just wonder how you're going to manage rolling Comeau/Begin/Begin on some nights...

Obviously if Begin is center Jackman is in the lineup I was pointing out you could use him at either spot.
I don't see a more balanced lineup with the players we have unless Hudler learns how to play center.

Hudler knows how to play center. He dominated the AHL as a center. He didn't play much center in Detroit because during his career the Wings have had Yzerman, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lang, Filppula, Modano, Franzen, Draper, Helm, Abdelkader, etc. at center at various times. Bowman and Babcock both prefer two-way centers, especially those who are quick and have some size. A guy like Hudler who is of average speed and undersized is unlikely to get a look in the middle, especially given his relatively weak defensive game when compared to other Wings forwards (he still classifies as "above-average" to "good" in a vacuum). A pure example of this? Hudler centered Kopecky in Grand Rapids, and yet there was a period where Kopecky centered Hudler in Detroit - size being the primary deciding factor.

I have said for years that I think Hudler would excel if given the chance in the middle, especially if placed between two big, physical wingers. He's in absolutely the perfect situation for this to happen in Calgary; Hartley could slot him between Glencross and Iginla and that line would eat opponents alive. It would allow Tanguay to move to another line, Baertschi/Tanguay/Cammalleri perhaps? That line has some pretty wicked speed. And then you have Backlund/Stajan/Stempniak as the shutdown line.

Not sure how exactly to slot Cervenka in. Maybe swapping into the second line for Cammy? If you swap Stemps out, you can move Glencross down, Tanguay or Cammalleri up, and put Cervenka on line 2. Or just put Cervenka on line 1 or 3.

At the same time, why Comeau on the 3rd? Plays just die when he gets the puck, better off limiting his time to forechecking and throwing the body (whenever he gets around to doing that again)

Glencross - Backlund - Iginla
Tanguay - Cammalleri - Hudler
Baertschi - Cervenka - Stempniak
Begin - Stajan - Jackman

I'd prefer Stajan in the top 9, but someone had to get bumped down, and I know he's capable of a defensive role.

Or:

Glencross - Backlund - Iginla
Tanguay - Cervenka - Hudler
Baertschi - Stajan - Cammalleri
Stempniak - Begin - Jackman

Backs and Bart need to stay together, they are forming some explosive energy together.

Plus Im really curious to test drive Cervenka on the top line with Iginla, Iggy needs an injection of something to get him going soon.

I really agree with this, but it makes it really hard to adjust the roster.

Easy solution: Bart/Back/Iggy as the top line, Tang/Cammy/Hud second, GlenX/Staj/Stemp 3rd.

I agree and think Cammy should sit out on Saturday. Looks awful, and small. Small and awful.

I propose:

GlenX - tangs - Iggy
Baer - backs - Hudler
Cervanka - stagan - stemp
Begin - jones - jackman

Como + Cammy sit.

^ That or try and let him play out of his funk.

Baertschi - Backlund - Iginla
Tanguay - Cervenka - Hudler
Cammalleri - Stajan - Glencross
Comeau - Begin - Stempniak
x. Jackman, Jones

Really? Cmon, let Baertschi play 3rd line, not 4th. Baertschi has played well so far.

Would rather have Comeau play than Jackman if Baerts is on 4th line.

As would I but Baertschi has been far and away one of the best players so far this year, and he's on the forth line while the old veterans who haven't done squat sit up and hog the top 6 spots?

Frustrating.

Baertschi is alternating with Begin on the 4th in practice. I like the idea of Bart with a big guy who can throw the body around. If Comeau or Jackman can create havoc in front of the net, Bart might be able to do his thing.

I don't, he's the future of the flames he should not be playing 4th line minutes with unskilled grinders
