It was actually a great shot Neuvirth had the right instincts to stop it. I'm sure that vs 10 NHL goalies it would of been a goal 4 times out of 10.

Look like he had his head down when he shot the puck, Bourque was wide open and had a better chance than Gionta.

No point in keeping him to play him 2 ****ing minutes in a period.
Absolutely... come on MT, play him, despite that 1 min Galchenyuk had a god scoring chance.

Agreed. Gio doesn't do that really often though. He's a slapshot-happy player and it's more often than not the least smartest thing to do :\

That's it, tomorrow headlines, Therrien hates Galchenyuk, doesn't play him... pas le temps de niaiser, he didn't score on his first shift, i knew he couldn't give me anything for this game.... he's not a road warrior like Cube is....

To be fair, Gally has short shifts. He rarely lasted over 45 Seconds in his 4-5 shifts, whilist I remember Gally and Prust being on for quite a while once.

I do agree he needs to play more though. All I saw was DD & Pleky's line almost doubleshifting

Galchenyuk will play more in the next two periods. I'm pretty sure MT wants to ease that line because for two of them, it's their first away game in the NHL.

Agreed. If you are giving gally 3min a period. Then send him down. Which most likely the plan.

you might be on to something, play him more, if he performs well, he would be much harder to send back..... you send him back, that free's up some money to throw PK's way... that is all good... PK back in the line up for Superbowl week-end.....

Road game and the score is 0-0. Therrien is leaning on his top two lines to strike and get a goal or two. Once they take the lead, we'll see the third line more than we did in the 1st.

This. Plus a PK that puts the 4th line players over the third one in TOI.

Galcheniuk can't even play more then 2 minutes a period with a team that finish 15th last year... what a bust.... White on the third, Dumont back centering the fourth, Galchenyuk in Sarnia, Eller to who ever wants to take him away from us..... we'll throw in Weber for free....

The Canadiens need to cut on the giveaways in the defensive zone and play a smarter game. Expect MT to give Gorges-Diaz and Markov-Emelin more icetime in the second and in the third. Kaberle has been bad.

If Washington gets a goal, I expect some changes upfront early. Desharnais has been pretty bad since the beginning of the season.

A disappointing start to the season by the DD line. The great chemistry they had last year is nowhere to be seen.

Hopefully it's just a function of a short training camp and no preseason.
