Hes old, but I loved what he did for us from 05-09

Chances are its just a temporary thing, but hes a solid veteran presence

Shouldn't briere be back soon?

I honestly don't mind sestito. Just hope they don't do something stupidlike play him in the top 9

I like it. Knuble can still be usefull if you use him right and he's better then Sestito and Shelley. Could help our special teams if he's got anything left. It's a short season so we'll see.

Yea but they are most likely getting him for the pp. Id rather have knuble on the 4th with pp time then sestito on the 4th fighting

Holmgren said pregame that more will be known after tonight's game. That was probably indicative of awaiting the Knuble move. But for now, the term Homgren used for Briere is "50/50" for this weekend.

I don't hate Sestito either, but one more injury, and he probably is playing in the Top 9.

The good thing about sestito is no coach will ever play him above the 4th line. I worry lavi will try knuble higher

I always liked Knuble, he's older but he'll be fine for his role.

Slugs, perhaps? But they have a problem with freezing to the ice, what with their mucous-coated exterior.

Knuble was also a very good PK guy too, we could use another PKer with Couts on the PP now.

Well I always liked Knuble but man I'm pretty sure he hasn't gotten any faster and thus his turnovers will probably be that much more brutal...but what can you do. Flyers need bodies especially in front of the net now that Hartnell is down 4 to 8 weeks...ugh.

Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek
Simmonds-Schenn-Briere
Talbot -Couturier-Read
Knuble-Laughton-Fedotenko

2 scoring lines, both with a mix of some size, a net presence and speed. A 3rd line that's a legit shutdown line with some scoring pop. A solid defensive 4th line.

Use Knuble on the PP to take Hartnell's spot in front of the net while he's out.
