It was talked about on NBCSN last night. Hitch is giving Redden a chance to show he is still a first pairing D without the pressure of a huge contract to live up to. He thinks his issues here in NY were $ related.
Wow, imagine if Redden sticks there all year and gets his career back on track for a few years before retiring? We'll never hear the end of it on the main boards.
They might make fun of us, but only because most of them are stupid. The reality is we don't have room for his bloated salary...and the odds of him improving his play to anything close to his contract are slim at this point.
