Get a nice humidifier if you haven't already, I used to get bloody noses all the time but not anymore because I invested in a nice one

Also, for those of you that have trouble with sinus infections and the like, try a nettipot, they work wonders

Bad news...

Pipes burst at work. Closed through the weekend. Including tonight, that's four events. As if the lockout didn't hurt a lot already. FML

Good news...

Got myself an iPhone 5 - thanks to Dad's bday gift.

Yes to the humidifier. Can't do the netipot. Anybody want a slightly used one?

I second both suggestions. Especially the Neti pot. once you get over the idea of pouring water through your head, it really works wonders.

I have 2 going 24/7 and I use a nettipot with prescription rinse daily. What kind of humidifier do you have? I had sinus surgery 2 years ago so they are being cautious. More than likely it's a sinus infection,

I signed up for a weight loss challenge. $10 bucks to enter, if you lose 4% of your starting weight in 4 weeks you split the pot with the other people that are in the challenge and meet the goal.

I need a serious kick in the ass to get myself motivated and as a competitive person I was hopeful this might be it. If anyone else is interested, here's the link:

ETA: OK, apparently the link doesn't work here. never mind then!

Good Luck!

I've been on a diet of whey protein with fat free ice cream and a teaspoon of PB, steel cut oats with berries, chicken breast, brown rice, ground 93% turkey, water and no booze for about a month now. Been working out 3 days on, one day off (45 mins of lifting, then 30 min of cardio).

Got the courage today to try on my old 32' waist pants and was happy that they fit

I've been going to the gym since the summer (with a couple of breaks when i got sick, and then when I changed jobs), and have lost 10% of my starting weight since then. But that's been months. 4% in just 4 weeks? That's a tall order. Oh hell, I might as well try. Can you DM or PM me the link too?

To add some more fuel to the fire, more meat to mouth this evening. Feasted on a $21 cheese burger a little while ago.

Sadly, no. I even had to ask for cheese. The spot was far too s****y for my liking. Lots of guys in suits and jackets...then me and my buddies in jeans and Bruins caps. We fit right in Apparently it's restaurant week here, so all the menus are different, read: way smaller than normal. It was either a 21 dollar burger or an appetizer sized plate of mussels. The strip steak in the hotel lobby last night was much better, naturally.

I like the whole business trip idea, but I sure as hell miss my bride, baby, and dog. Not looking forward to the flight home on Saturday, but I still have plenty of Valium and will have a smiling wife and baby to greet me at Logan. I can live with that!

Nick Boynton Jersey?

This is off topic right? Anyone have an old Boynton jersey they don't want and would like to donate to a bachelor party weekend? Would pay a reasonable amount for shipping, effort, item...maybe $30 bucks?

Yes, there's one on ebay but it's $75!

Large/XL?

Would send pictures after the bach weekend as proof!

I fell off the wagon a year or so ago, for pretty good reason, but it's time to get back.

One thing I'll do different than you are is; at least once a week I'll eat all the garbage I want. Preferably a boneless sirloin steak pan seared in butter, w/ garlic, thyme, and proper seasoning, along w/ carmelized onions. As long as you're eating right the rest of the week you should still have your abs, etc. It isn't as if you aren't going to use that protein and carbs. Plus you don't go insane, or off the wagon, eating that raw can of tuna w/ tabasco chased w/ a protein shake on monday.
