Ooooh. serious rage in Edmonton. Bottles and trash thrown on the ice, Quick had to hide in the net.

Edit: I think that was the wrong call.

Captain Canada loafs off the ice causing a too many men penalty, Oilers win.

I thought fans throwing stuff on the ice resulted in a delay of game for the home team? I didnt watch the game admittedly but I don't think yakupov scored shorthanded. And I gotta agree that it was a very 'junior' celebration not NHL like at all. Age doesn't matter, couts would of never done that last year.

He looked like his old self tonight. Edmonton brought tons of pressure and he had a few phenomenal saves.

As much as I dislike the man, it's very sad seeing ovechkin pretty much declining into mediocrity.

Didn't see the game but that's good for LA..they need him to get back into playoff form.

Didn't he also just get married....he's getting soft I guess.

This is the same guy that in the lockout said that b/c of all the taxes the owners think that the players should be playing for McDonald's hamburger's or something along those lines. Sounds like he's eating a lot himself and that such a compensation would be an overpayment the way he's playing...

Washington needs to amnesty him and let the moron go play in his beloved KHL for Whoppers instead of Big Macs.

As sad as it is to see Ovi decline, I'm completely fine with G taking his media spotlight as the #2 guy in the league with Crosby

He lost his coach. Now that Boudreau has had a full year in Anaheim i wouldn't be surprised if they finished near the top of the west. They definitely have the talent to anyway.

Feel free to rub this in my face if they finish near the bottom though.

Ovi was on the way down when Bruce was the coach. I think he was given too much rope. A few years ago he came into the season out of shape; his theory was that since he had some minor injury issues the previous year, not working out int he summer would allow himself to heal. To nobody's surprise, it led to even more injuries the year after. Then last year he came into camp downright fat. There's pictures of him that are no good. He's lost that speed that let him blow past or through defenders; he's really predictable, but when he was at the top of his game he couldn't be stopped. Now, he's predictable and stoppable. He needs to change his game up.

Edit: He's still got a monster shot, but he's in position to fire it off far less than he used to be.
