@Nem

The one I wish someone could find is Stone Hands Grier. That was figgin' awesome.

Then there was the one of somebody (Carle?) in a 70's Pimp/Disco getup.

Still got those too. For the most part, if I made it, I still have it kicking around somewhere.

I don't remember that. Closest I have on hand was this:

I think the gif people are talking about had Wallin's head on Jim Carrey's dancing body.

My photoshop folder used to be a mess. (it still is, but less so than in times past) It's probable I had it but it was buried in such a maze of subfolders that I just had no idea where it was.

You're welcome.

I know it's been a couple hours, but I just can't ****ing get over how ****ing amazing Joe Thornton is. Just look at the passes he's dishing. Most pointedly, check out the "secondary" assist on the second Marleau goal. He busts his ass back to the defensive zone, strips the puck neatly off the forward, and wings it up to Pavelski all in one fluid, quick motion, like he didn't even have to think about it.

He's amazing. I just want to write paragraphs about his amazingness.

Just got home from the game, and I gotta say Havlat is an amazing player. He has a unique skill set that no one else on this team has. I don't know if his dangling is more impressive in person or if he just had a great game, I'd say it's both. I'm praying he can stay healthy this year because he is an extremely important ingredient to this team.

Also Handzus had a great game. Awesome on the PK and 15-1 on face-offs.

You should pull up some old highlights of Havlat from Ottawa and Chicago... When he was younger he had some of the most insane goals and rushes.

Seriously. Clowe and Murray both. Clowe is dragging the 2nd line down with all his hopeful passes and poor speed. Murray is dragging Braun down. Braun has both sides while Murray just stands in front of the net.

With Hartnell Down (pun intended) and Mike Knuble a less-than-suitable replacement, maybe the Flyers would want Clowie?

Then there's Washington floundering, maybe we could pick Johansson off of them. Toronto might be convinced they can contend and send us their first rounder for Clowe.

There are a lot of options.

At the risk of appearing insane or that I'm wearing the thickest teal-colored glasses known to man, the ease with which Thornton does most things is positively Gretzky-like. Now, for absolute clarity, I AM NOT saying he has Gretzky level skill (though purely from a playmaking standpoint he just might be one of the best/most comparable to come along since the Great One), just that like Gretzky, Joe seemslike he doesn't have to try to do anything. It just sort of happens because he wants it to. Obviously there is an significant amount of underlying skill and effort, but it's often said that the people who are truly great at their craft are the ones that make it look the easiest and most effortless. And that's what you see in Thornton.

It's a testament to the skill he once had that even after all the injuries and setbacks and whatnot, he's still as good as he is.

Not with Burke out of the big chair. Nonis may have a rep as Burke Jr, but he's not as in love with pugnacity and truculence and all those Burkie buzzwords as much as his mentor is.

Touché. We should have traded Clowe to Toronto for Nikolai Kulemin+ last off-season.
