Maybe for you, but I'm pretty sure your coworkers and underlings don't find them interesting at all...

So you go on a business trip and it's nonstop stuffing of meats into your mouth? Color me not surprised. What'd you wash the meat down with last night, a vanilla shake?

If someone has any extra motivation lying around, could you send some of it my way? Getting through today is going to be a chore.

But tonight, I'm taking my son and his friend to the slopes to go snowboarding. I'll be in the lodge watching the game.

Is the low motor/energy stuff due to the weather/time of year or just all around being so busy you guys have nothing left in the tank? Its tough this time of year, but excercise/yoga/whatever can really help out. Although I havent really done yoga I hear great things.

Seems like we have some people with low energy levels here....any thoughts on how to turn up the notches? I have to maintain a high energy level for many reasons, but I havent really had a problem where I had to fight it so I am curious as to what others due to keep their engine going.

interesting question. I think it's my body (and mind's) way of recouping energy. It's way of taking a backseat for a few hours.
I tend to run myself ragged...mostly out of necessity these days. It's just "busy". I am bad at making downtime for myself.

today's mood is just a creation in my mind--theres really nothing "wrong" per se, but I'm just feeling like I might be low on everyone's list all of a sudden. Really it should only matter what I think. energy sort of disappears....and I dont know how to deal with that.

In terms of yoga--I've been doing a meditation class that includes some yoga. I highly recommend that--it channels your energy so that you dont see it in such extreme....so you dont get the ups and downs as much. Also, you see that you are just part of a huge wide fabric, that in reality is really quite positive and out reaching. It also allows you to "let go", as it were, and you release the stuff that drags you down.

mental drain often means physical drain. and vice versa.

in reality, I think it is just the natural cycle of energy and an indicator of energy change.... it's a flux and you have to ride it to get to the good stuff.

Oh damn!

Mine were frozen yesterday- I forgot to leave one tap open to keep the water flowing and sure enough went I went to turn the shower on...nothing happened. Had to call the plumber to heat the pipes. Ugh.....I won't forget that again.

Heading to Maine for the weekend after work. Pretty excited to get away for a few days. We're staying with friends that have a family house up there...my favorite part of the planning process was when we were told "sweatpants to real clothes ratio should be approximately 10:1".

Stop in NH on the way up, buy some beer, and add it to the car packed with sweatpants and board games.

My kind of weekend.

Old Orchard Beach. Not too far of a drive, but far enough away to make it feel like you're getting away.

Looking forward to a frigid walk along the ocean this weekend.

Camden is fantastic.

great area. Cape Porpoise is nice too. Lots of photography to be done up there.

When you are gazing at that boardwalk in OOB, think of me wishing I was there with my camera.

If you eat at the Maine Diner on the way up I will be happy have fun

OOB is cool - though I question the sanity of anyone going there in these temps -

Ocean park? Even better

He like going to Crotched Mountain. It's small, but really seems to cater to boarders. They also have what they call Midnight Madness on Friday and Saturday nights, where you can ski or ride from 9P-3A, and they have bands, a bonfire, and other stuff. It's almost never crowded, and they just added a detachable high-speed quad to the top. It's about 90 minutes or so, maybe a little less.

Flu season is pretty universal, one of the biggest reasons we see it spike in the cold months is because everyone starts getting runny noses and coughing on everything

Buncha filthy animals we humans are

Thinking of buying a Parise Wild Tshirt just to annoy the 60 or 70 Devils fans in my town...would be nice to wear during my Saturday errands..
