Umm they have TVs but usually use a projector to play Jets games on. Food is good, I'm friends with the head chef there. During Festival if you want a great party, that is the place to be hands down, except you have to get there early or else you'll be waiting a long time outside. And they serve Standard, which is always a plus.

Oh and the poutine, I was there for a New Years party one year, and it had pepperoni and bacon in it, the best poutine I have ever had. And I mean ever.

the screen at the Met is incredibly high resolution.....and huge.

From a design perspective how would you rate that effort?

Anyone know whether this policy has changed? If not, I wouldn't recommend going there; unless you mean to listen to Top 40 rather than watch hockey.

Any thoughts on an after-the-game spot, now that 4Play is gone? Preferable some place that isn't too far from MTS Centre, isn't stupid busy and has decent/good food. And somewhere that would be showing the late game (VAN/ANA)

IMO, Dal's has the best pizza in the city, bar none. I miss the restaurant location on Bond St. and Victoria Ave. My family used to go there often. Good food when it was open.

I miss having the location on Regent Ave. that there was back in the 80s and 90s. I loved the bonzo bones and meat sauce. It's too bad that UofW location wasn't around when I attended school there in the late 90s. That would have been my lunch choice option bar none. I need to visit Garbonzo's next time I'm in town.

If you can get there before it fills up, I assume Boston Pizza should fit the bill.

As far as a place to watch Jets games itself, has anyone gone to Upper Deck in the McPhillips Casino? I've been there to watch Bomber games before, and it was always a good time. Decent prices on drinks, and food was always great.

The old Metropolitan theatre across the street (Donald) from MTS Centre. CanadInns bought it and turned it into a conference centre or something.

The Met is a former theatre that has been recently renovated and is across the street from the MTS centre on Donald St.

IMO any pizza place that uses canned mushroom, can't be in the running for best pizza.

After the game, If you're into being a scene-ster, Rudys at the Hydro building is always hot after a game.

I prefer going to the Toad or the Kingshead.

The Bar upstairs @MTSICEPLEX is absolutely beautiful. I've watched a few games up there and the atmosphere is great with a nice full view of hockey rinks.
They have multiple big screen T.V.s, Freindly service, decent food, and cheap beer (nightly specials) such as drink your dads beer night.
That being said, I'm always shocked how there is hardley anyone up there on game nights. I was up there to catch a game with some buddies and we were the only ones in there.
It is a great place and your supporting the Jets with every beer you drink!

I only ever had it at the St.Vital location (in the ol Taco Bell on St.Marys). Might have been different owners. It didn't last very long (~2 years). The pizza was good... Just can't stand canned mushrooms.

@Peter Tagli Eddie -- I always thought, growing up listening to the Jets on the radio, that this was THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE as well. Always wondered how there seemed to be so many people on the ice at the same time
