Wouldn't want to be Yakupov next time he plays LA.

Yeah he'll learn as time goes on, you have to take the situation into account too with what was happening in that game.

Not really. What happens if LA scores in OT? Then he looks pretty stupid.

I hope someone points at Yakupov if it happens. So immature and ridiculous. Laying out on the ice? Jesus.

I'd rather celebrate JVR style [his snipe 2 nights ago].

Yakupov's celerabtion seems like a "OMG CANT BELIEVE I DID IT". JVR's celebration seems like a "'BOUT ****ING TIME".

I am having way too much fun with these comments

Yeah it's just not what you do in the NHL. You need to be classier.

Again, he makes a big deal of his 2nd goal, and all he did was tie the game. It'd be something if they were closer to the playoffs or something, but in the realm of things that goal probably means so little.

If it was overtime winner okay cool although even then that might too much. However it was a game tying goal with a last second shot indeed, there is still a game to be played you move on.

Reason why Yzerman, Sakic and so on where known to be a boss per say is they got the goal, but they hungered for more soon afterwards so their team don't fall aside.

I think it's asinine to think Yak doesn't have those qualities based on his reaction to a goal. You need to give him some time in the league before you can make any connection on those qualities. Like I said, not everyone is as mature as those guys at such a young age. These are genarational leaders you are talking about. You also have to see the culture these players grew up in. Yzerman/Sakic are Canadians, and were used to low key celebration culture I guess. Yak played most of his hockey in Russia where they celebrate the **** out of their goals. Just look at Ovy, Kovy, and that Komarov goal () for example.

This is getting ridiculous now. So you expect players to show no emotion on achieving small goals unless its a game winning/season defining play? And honestly, I don't see what's so wrong about putting a little celebration in there. Hockey is about entertainment, and seeing some creative celebrations from players is entertaining.

Jump in to your teammates? That's fine. Break past them, skate to your own blue line, slide across the ice on your knees and lay face down like you just scored the biggest goal of your life? Ridiculous. That's just my view though. Being young is not an excuse.

No one questioned his talent. Yea we're canadian but Datsyuk is also Russian where is his celebration when there is a game defining moment? He's prolly done it more so in a month than Yakupov has done it in his short career. Komarov goal or whatever was when they won the game lol. He didn't even celebrate until everyone was exiting the ice, he cheered up the fans, if it was like that no problem! None at all. However there was still overtime to be played and the game wasn't done at all.

I don't mind having a celebration here and there but there are limits you have to realize. It's good to be passionate about your game but you also need to bring in class, this isn't juniors this is big leagues. I agree hockey is about entertainment and we have that but there is a time and a place for everything, certainly with the right doses.

Can you imagine if Derozan had done that last night when hit the buzzer beater but in the third quarter instead of a pumped up stance?

It's not a little celebration.. It's just like St. Louis said about the EDM goal last year with the spin move. It's just too much. You haven't done anything yet, you don't get to do that kind of thing in the NHL..
