Yes, you don't know what the means.

Let me help you out.

= sarcasm

Sarcasm is a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark. If you need the definition of irony (it's basically the opposite of what you'd expect to be true). HTH.

For the new page, latest iteration of the proposal. I'm actually quite curious if we can manage a deal here.

Quote:
To Calgary:

Couturier
2nd round pick

To Philly:

Bouwmeester (Flames pick up 2M of his salary for remainder of his deal)
TJ Brodie
4th round pick

I'm well aware of what it means, I just wasn't aware that someone would get worked up by me saying that they needed help rather than forming a sarcastic comment...Sorry

Good luck getting Glencross to waive his NTC.

If we do end up picking top 5, we have just as good as potential in getting a Couturier calibre center plus keeping Glencross.

Then we'll resume this talk after we find out if Calgary's draft slot is somewhere that Seth Jones can be selected.

Glencross is no longer a part of the deal (see above).

touche.

IF the flames finish with a top 2-3 pick, this could be a good move for the flyers. However, that's a risk i don't think the flyers would be willing to take at the expense of Couturier.

Seth Jones or Johnathan Drouin would be awesome to have though.

I think that people are beginning to think for some reason that Couturier won't ever be more than what he is now, which is ridiculous. the kid went from being under rated, to over rated, to REALLY under rated as a result of people claiming that he's over rated... Couturier has all the tools to be a 1-B Center. He probably doesn't have the offensive dynamics to be a true legit #1 C, but he's got selke potential and could probably put up 60-70 points in his prime. He's going to be a good leader who plays in all situations. the kid has incredible hockey sense, work ethic and a great head on his shoulders.

If the Flames finish 2-3 there isn't a chance in hell they would trade it for Couts.

No, not even close from a Flyers POV. Short of you guys finishing w/ the #2 overall pick and Seth Jones being there to select, there's no way you're getting Couturier out of Philly.

Even if you eat half of Bouwmeester's salary, he's not worth Couturier.
And you can't make up the difference with OK prospects and middle round picks.

4th round pick

And I agree, Brodie would be incredibly difficult to part with, has had a terrific year in the AHL and now to start the year with Calgary.
This is horribly awful for Philly.

They take on a ton of cap space, give up the best player in the deal, and somehow also miraculously give away the better draft pick as well.

You should never propose another trade on this forum.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Previous proposal was:

To Calgary:

Couturier (Calgary desperately needs a Center)
2013 2nd round pick (Flames don't currently have one)

To Philly

Glencross (possibly the best contract value in the league)
2013 1st round pick (bound to be a high pick, possibly top 5)

Thoughts?
OHHHHH BROTHER... he comes the "OMFGBBQ!1!!1!one! I wudn't tradeZ COUTz for CINDY crosby or MalkinZ!!" over-rate fest... but non-the-less a terrible proposal.

Well, considering my statement is entirely conditional on the flames trading that pick NOW and not after the season ends, id have to say that you should read before posting.

Not a nearly as much of a risk if the season is over and we know what's what.
